KOLKATA : Metro trains will run at five-minute intervals from tomorrow (Tuesday) during the morning and evening peak hours.   But what has much potential to confuse the commuters is the period during which the Metro trains will ply at five-minute intervals is not uniform for the Up and Down directions.   On the Up direction, that is on the line heading to Dum Dum, Metro trains at five minute-intervals will be available in the morning hours between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge) station and Dum Dum from 8.45 a.m. to 9.15 a.m. But between Kavi Subhash (New Garia) and Dum Dum on the same Up direction, the five-minute service will be available from 10.56 a.m. to 11.56 a.m.   On the Down direction, that is on the line from Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash, the Metro trains will run from 10.02 a.m. to 11.02 a.m. at five-minute intervals.
