Pune : Central Railway has decided to introduce additional coaches in three inter-city and long distance trains from the city to provide relief to passengers with tatkal tickets by accommodating waiting list for passengers. Under this scheme, the railways is planning to add second class chair and second class sleeper coaches Deccan Express and Nagpur Pune Express, while Pune-Nagpur Garib Rath will get an AC-tier coach. “Tatkal passengers shall get confirmed accommodation in the extra coach to the extent of availability of berths in that coach. This is being done on an experimental basis only for some trains within state limits. This will free the passengers to buy tickets from touts to a large extent,” said Railway PRO. Railway administration is hoping that this arrangement proves helpful for passengers during the current summer season.
