Kanpur, Jun 19 (PTI) Crossing the railway track with earphones plugged in, an 18-year-old boy, a student of class 12, died when he was hit by a train near Gurudev Palace here, police said today. The tragedy occurred last evening when Krishna Kumar was on way back to his residence from a coaching institute, they said. Kumar could not hear the sound of the approaching train as he had mobile headphones plugged in his ear, police said. It was yet to be ascertained whether the teenager was listening to music or involved in a telephonic conversation at the time of the accident, they said.
The body had been sent for post mortem, police said.
