Kohima Jun 20 : The 'Science Express - Biodiversity Special train' will arrive at Dimapur Railway station tomorrow and will be stationed there for 2 days for public viewing.
Nagaland Minister for Forests, Ecology, Environment and Wildlife and Excise M.C. Konyak will open the show on Thursday at Dimapur Railway Station.
The Science Express was launched on June 5 in Delhi to mobilize the public in general and children in particular to visit and learn about biodiversity of the country spread across various bio-geographical zones.
The shows of trans himalaya and the himalaya, the gangetic plain, North-East India, the desert and semi- arid zone, the Western Ghats, the Deccan peninsula and the coasts and islands.

Out of the 16 coaches, 3 coaches of the train will have exhibits on climate change, energy and water conservation and the rest coaches on bio-diversity.
There will be a painting competition on the train for school children during the stay in Dimapur. For Group 'A' from class 3 to 5, the theme will be 'Energy and Environment.' For Group 'B' - Class 6 to 8' the theme will be 'Save fuel yaani save money.' Prizes will be awarded to three winners from each group, for the 1st Prize with Rs.1000, the 2nd Prize with Rs. 800 and the 3rd Prize with Rs.600. The winning paintings will be forwarded to the National Level and the winner at the National Level will be awarded with a laptop and Rs.35, 000. Certificate of participation will be given to all participants. (UNI)
