MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court has placed on fast track a petition seeking renaming of the Matheran railway station after the founder of the train services Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy. The court was hearing a petition filed by Peerbhoy's great grandson Ali Akbar Adamjee Peerbhoy, who had challenged the Union government's decision to reject the proposal to rename the station. A division bench of Justice D D Sinha and Justice Vijaya Kapse Tahilramani declined to grant any interim order in the petition, but has expedited the hearing of the case.
