Dombivli and Diva railway stations. In another case, a man was grievously hurt after being hit by a train at Jogeshwari.
The first case took place at 10.20am when Dombivli resident Darshak Gada (21) was standing on the footboard of a compartment in a CST-bound fast local and listening to music on his phone. Government railway police (GRP) officials suspect he lost his grip and fell near Kopar station. GRP personnel rushed Gada to the Shastri Nagar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The second case took place at 10.35am, when Hoshla Yadav (26) from Titwala fell off the footboard of a semi-fast CST-bound local between Kopar and Diva stations. Yadav's family had been planning to get him married, officials said.
In the third case, a 30-year-old man sustained grievous injuries after a train knocked him down on the tracks running alongside platform 3 at Jogeshwari station. The man's right leg was crushed and he sustained injuries to his head, eyes and cheeks.
