Rakesh Ranjan (22), a resident of Noor Nagar village under Harnaut police station in Nalanda district, was allegedly pushed from a sleeper bogie of Patliputra Express (8621 Dn) at Buddhuchak near Fatuha railway station at around 4.10pm on Friday. Ranjan died on the spot. His body has been kept at the GRP office of Fatuha station for post mortem.
According to police sources, Ranjan, along with his mother Bacchi Devi and sister Anita Devi, had boarded the Patliputra Express at Patna Junction in the sleeper class though he had taken tickets for the general compartment.
GRP in charge at Fatuha, Ashok Ram told reporters that Ranjan's mother alleged the TTE in the sleeper bogie pushed him from the train because he was not having sleeper class tickets.
