Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) successfully operated green line trains on the test track at Peenya depot on Wednesday. These trains will run on the North-South Corridor of Phase 1.Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda had carried out an inspection in Phase I on Tuesday, following which, BMRCL conducted the testing track which runs along the north wall of the Peenya depot in the east-west direction. “Three sets of the 29 trains have been supplied to Peenya depot required for the North-South Corridor,” BMRCL stated in a press statement issued on Wednesday.According to the officials, construction works at all the reaches, were close to completion, and Reach 3 between Sampige Road and Yeshwantpur was nearing completion.The chief minister had stated that around 90 per cent of the work on Reach 2 between City Railway station and Mysore Road terminal was completed.
