f rom July 10, booking of tatkal tickets will start at 10am on the day before the journey from the originating station of the train instead of 8am at present. The timings were revised after several complaints about the misuse of the tatkal scheme by agents and touts, who used to corner the bulk of tickets in connivance with booking clerks. Other measures to prevent misuse are installation of CCTVs in all major booking centres, inspection of the centres by senior officers, display of helpline numbers and raids by the vigilance squads.
