A 19-year-old girl was run over by a train while she was crossing the double track near the Neeleswaram railway station on Tuesday, the police said. Ashwini, 19, a first-year B.Sc. student at Govinda Pai Memorial College, Manjeswaram, was on her way to board the Mangalore-bound Malabar Express. An express train from Mangalore to Chennai Egmore ran her over.
