Ten senior DMRC officials and 12 others, charge-sheeted for alleged negligence during the construction of a metro pillar in Zamrudpur which collapsed in 2009 killing six workers , appeared in a court here on Monday is pursuance to summons served on them and were granted bail.Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Sharma granted bail to the accused persons on a personal bond of Rs.10,000 each with one surety of the like amount. The charge sheet named 24 people.One DMRC official, Vivek Prakash Srivastava, was issued fresh summons after his counsel complained that summons was not served on him. A Gammon India official, Amrik Singh, sought personal exemption through his counsel on the ground that he was away from the city. The next date of hearing in the case is August 18.
