HUBLI: South Western Railway's Central Hospital, Hubli completed 50 years of glorious service to the railway employees and retired railway employees and celebrated its golden jubilee hospital day held at railway officers club (ROC) in Hubli.
Dr D Jayakumar, medical director, Central Hospital, Hubli presented the progress report briefing about achievements and developments of the hospital since its inception of hospital at Hubli.
He said Central hospital has sanctioned bed strength of 149 and on an average about 930 patients attend as out-patient department daily. There are 20 doctors, 03 officers, 14 office staff, 71 nursing staff, 29 para-medical staff and 122 supportive staff are working and coordinating in giving qualitative medical services to 11064 railway employees, Officers and their family members and 5,777 retired railway employees, officers and their families, he

Ashok Kumar Mital , general manager, SWR said that India Railways is the only organization in the world to look after the passengers immediately by taking up rescue operations whenever railway accidents take place.
Mital has appealed the doctors and staff of central hospital, Hubli to rededicate their services for the good health of the railway staff and their families.
