BENGALURU: Due to the Vardah cyclonic storm and heavy rains in Chennai, several trains have been cancelled or diverted. The cancelled trains include: the Mysore-Chennai Shatabdi, Mysore/Yesvantpur-Yesvantpur/Mysore Malgudi, Chamarajanagar-Tirupathy Passenger, Bangalore City Station-Patliputra Sanghmitra Express, Bangalore City Station- Chennai Mail and Kaniyakumari-Bangalore City Station. The Chennai-Mysuru Shatabdi Express has been partially cancelled between Bengaluru-Mysuru.
Two trains, both expected to arrive today have been diverted : The Patliputra- Bengaluru Station Sanghmitra Express and the Guwahati - Bengaluru Station Express. They will both be running via Ranigunta, Melpakkam, Katpadi and Jolarpet instead of Chennai.
KSRTC buses and aeroplanes taking off and landing in KIA will continue to run on schedule.
