NEW DELHI: The Delhi region today was again enveloped in a dense fog, and air and rain transport were affected.
Upto 90 trains scheduled to arrive in the Delhi area have been delayed, the news agency ANI reported.
The following four trains have been cancelled today.
12427 - Rewa - Anand Vihar Terminal Express
12562 - New Delhi - Jaynagar Swantrata Sainani Express
12225 - Azamgarh - Delhi Kafiyat Express
12394 - New Delhi - Rajendra Nagar Sampark Kranti Express
At Indira Gandhi International Airport, three arriving fights (one international, two domestic), and five departing domestic flights have been delayed. Four flights have been cancelled.
Yesterday, too, fog affected rail traffic in the capital. As many as 101 trains ran late by several hours, while 17 were cancelled due, a senior railway official said.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the Delhi region will continue to witness fog conditions till December 16.
