Mumbai: The Oshiwara station between Jogeshwari and Goregaon has been officially named as ‘Ram Mandir’ by the Maharashtra Government on Friday. However, the station’s inauguration which was scheduled for tomorrow by Suresh Prabhu has again been delayed due to some technical problem.
Today Free Press spoke to the Divisional Railway Manager high level officer on the inauguration of the station, to which the officed replied, that ‘the launch of Oshiwara station was postponed for some days, the date was not yet decided.’

some work like the station’s name board (station name plate), announcement in trains and other minor works are pending. Once these small works are completed we will announce the launch date.
“The construction work at station has been completed, including water facility, staircase, rails. It’s only due to name change we have to make some more changes at station”, the officer concluded.
The name Ram Mandir was demand by BJP and Shiv Sena leader because as the nearby area which is known as Ram Mandir.
