Bulk transport of coal by road instead of rail !! This is a great Financial & Environmental loss to IRlys, Power companies & the nation.
Instead of completing these money minting freight projects on the top most priority, IRlys had been busy spending resources on implementing the so called "socially desirable projects" (loss making projects implemented on public demand) since several decades which invariably cater to VIP constituencies and give perennial losses to the IRlys.

taking financially imprudent decisions & such ways of working, rather than the low passenger fares as is always touted. Fares of freight & upper passengers classes are already high. Even if second class fares are doubled at a single go, the financial condition of IRlys shall still be far from being good. There is urgent need to improve internal efficiency in the working.
In Indian Railways, the best techno-economic decisions have to be taken and implemented in time bound manner. Else the people of India will have to struggle with problems like inadequate expansion/modernization, poor safety, poor punctuality, slow speed, non availability of reserved tickets on demand etc.
