A part of metro bridge has collapsed on Ghatkopar-Andheri line near Sakinaka junction on Tuesday. It is feared that some workers and a part of traffic traveling below the bridge may been entrapped.There is no news of any causality so far..This is the first phase of Metro project in Mumbai and the bridge was being built on the busy arterial road. Right below the bridge , there was a flow of heavy traffic. It is feared that a part of traffic has also been entrapped in the debris falling off from one of the slabs of the metro bridge.The exact scenario is yet not clear though. According to a source three injured persons have been shifted to Holy spring hospital nearby.Municipal agencies which have rushed in for rescue operations are busy removing the debris. Experts say that the continuous rain might have led to the weakening of the slab which got peeled off from the bridge on the moving traffic on the road. According to an eye witness about seven persons could be entrapped under the debris.
