BANGALORE: The All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) members marched to the general manager's office of South Western Railway in Hubli and handed over a memorandum to implement suggestions by Signal Passed At Danger ( SPAD) regulations which were discussed in the Railway Board in June.
They demanded that limiting the working hours of mail and express trains to six hours, reduce constinuous night duties to two from three days, crew changes at divisional jurisdictions to be made, two hours of preparation time to be given at head quarters and out stations and long working hours to be minimized.
Apart from the above they have also demanded to be given 40 hours of calendar day rest in between long trips made. They have re-iterated that the suggestions made by member engineers

The suggestions made by the Board also remarked on the comfortability of the crew cabin to be increased and colour coding for engines to be introduced.
Sunic C, general secretary of AILRSA, SD Arnold, zonal president of AILRSA were present in the rally and protest. The memorandum was handed over to AK Mittal, general manager of SWR.
