From the news channels one could see that coaches were as old as 1995,1996,2005 etc. Even the AGM railways said it could be either due to track related issue or old coaches.
So far no conclusion but quite surprisingly there were trains which would have crossed the same place few hours prior to this train

Don't think so its due to old coaches...Coaches have shelf life of around 25 years if maintained properly..Could be track related issue which is to be ascertained..But one good thing was that there were no causalities. Would be interesting to see at what speed the train was traveling at that time.
The train i feel should have been at lower speed else major tragedy would have happened..
Yes train was at slow speed. Since rail fracture had happened there and repaired recently, there was TSR.
