Hyderabad Division of SCR conducted a Mega Fortress Check and Magisterial Check o­n 23rd June, 2017 to curb Ticketless Travel and other offences. The Checks were carried out o­n advice of Chief Commercial Manager, C&PS, South Central Railway. The Mega Fortress checks & Magisterial Check, was conducted under the overall supervision of Shri B.D. Christopher, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager & Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Hyderabad Division.

Rs. 1, 04,465/- (One Lakh Four Thousand and Four Hundred and Sixty Five Rupees) was realised towards penalty during the check.
The Mega Fortress Check & Magisterial Checks were carried out in surprise by the staff involved who travelled by Road from Sitafalmandi to Shadnagar Railway Station to apprehended ticket less travellers.
During the Mega Fortress check conducted at Level Crossing Gate, Shadnagar from 06.00 hrs to 13.30 hrs in a large scale involving Divisional Commercial Manager assisted by 47 Ticket Checking Squad Personal, 09 Staff & 08 Inspectors of Commercial Branch, 21 Railway Protection Force (RPF) and 04 Government Railway Police (GRP) Personnel of Kacheguda and Mahbubnagar Sections of Hyderabad Division, SCR.
23 without ticketless passengers were prosecuted with the help of the Hon’ble IInd Metropolitan Magistrate and 1st Class Magistrate for Railways, Secunderabad who attended a camp court conducted at Shadnagar.

Shri Harindra Rao, General Manager, Eastern Railway reviewed the performance of Sealdah Division with Principal Heads of Department of Eastern Railway, DRM/ Sealdah and other senior officers of the division in a meeting held at Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Sealdah today (19.6.2017). Performance o­n safety, punctuality, cleanliness, earning & expenditure control, asset reliability and loading of the division were discussed in detail in the meeting.

General Manager said that encroachment in the railway platforms and premises is a matter of concern for which coordination with Civil Administration under State Govt. is very much essential for eviction of railway premises & railway platform area for the easy movement of passengers.
He also expressed satisfaction o­n overall performance of Sealdah division and advised to improve upon the punctuality by adopting all possible measure keeping in view the safety aspects. The human failure must be dealt with boldly by taking punitive exemplary action against the officer and staff if found at fault.

General Manager, Eastern Railway, Shri Harindra Rao inspected at New Farakka station alongwith DRM/Malda & all Principal Officers from ER Headquarters. He also visited Sujni Para & Gankar stations in Malda division today.
Later, GM inspected Azimganj & Katwa stations of Howrah division in presence of DRM/Howrah and other principal officers.

Shri Rao asked DRM & Divisional Officers to be more careful o­n safety of train operations and ensure outmost safety. He warned that no o­ne will be spared if safety related rules are not followed. No shortcut o­n safety will be tolerated. GM wants totally zero tolerance o­n safety in Eastern Railway system. He thoroughly inspected the Cabins, Station Manager rooms etc and spoke to the concerned staff o­n duty.
GM also advised to make all-out effort to reach passengers safely & timely to their destinations and do the best for passengers comfort. He emphasised o­n passenger comfort better facilities, punctuality, safety & security etc.
GM/ER interacted with the press & media people at New Farakka Jn and with MLA, local representatives & media people at Katwa station during his inspection today.

Shri Harindra Rao, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected Andal station & Andal Depot this morning. During the inspection, GM advised for improving coal loading further at Andal depot. Later, Shri Rao conducted a window trailing inspection from Andal to Dhanbad to ensure safety of track. In the afternoon, GM reviewed the performance of Asansol Division in presence of principal officers of Eastern Railway HQ & Divisional Railway Manager/Asansol and other senior officers of the Division in a review meeting held at Divisional Railway Manager’s Office today (20.6.2017). Safety, security, punctuality, cleanliness, passenger amenities and freight loading performance of the Division were discussed in detail in the meeting.

GM advised for observing all safety rules and must ensure safe and timely running of Mail/Express trains. General Manager appreciated the effort of the Division for making Railway platforms encroachment free and clean. He emphasized o­n the optimum utilization of man power for better productivity.
He also expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Asansol Division and urged upon for more freight loading from Division. He emphasized o­n the cleanliness of all stations even the small road side stations for passengers comfort.

Weekly AC Superfast Special Trains
Between Pune and Hazrat Nizamuddin
Railways will run weekly AC superfast special trains between Pune and Hazrat Nizamuddin upto 13.7.2017 to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details of extended trips are as under:

weekly AC superfast special will leave Pune at 0515 hrs o­n 6.7.2017 & 13.7.2017 and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 0535 hrs next day.
04418 weekly AC superfast special will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2135 hrs o­n 4.7.2017 & 11.7.2017 and arrive Pune at 2125 hrs next day.
Halts: Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota.
Composition: o­ne AC First class, 6 AC-2 tier, 10 AC-3 tier and o­ne AC Pantry car.
Reservation: Bookings for Train No. 04417 o­n special charges will open from 27.6.2017 at all PRS centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.
