Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu inaugurated the Stations Redevelopment Programme for Indian Railways from Rail Bhawan through Video Conferencing today (8.2.2017).
This programme is stated to be the largest transit oriented development programme involving a cost at tune of ₹ 100,000 crores in which the stations will be redeveloped and made world class infrastructure and amenities for the betterment of esteemed passengers. This may provide opportunities for generating significant non-traffic revenue also. The programme, as such, is a major initiative which is gathering momentum throughout the country at present.

Eastern Railway, Shri Satish Kumar, Additional General Manager released the Stations Redevelopment Programme Booklet. Addressing officers, staff & press, he said that the vision for this project will help in developing all the places, restaurants, hospitality development like hospitals, retail development etc. There will be 400 A1 & A category stations across the country in 100 cities will be developed with PPP model. In the first phase, 23 stations will be developed wherein Howrah station has been included for development. In the second phase, about 100 stations will be developed wherein Sealdah station will be developed. In third phase, more than 250 stations will be developed. Station area, concourse, escalators, passengers lounge etc. will be developed. Prime land has been earmarked for this project at Salt Gola area near Howrah station where ten acres of land will be provided for effecting the project.
In Eastern Railway, starting from Howrah station, a total number of 15 stations have been planned to be developed in a phased manner over four Divisions of Eastern Railway as follows:-

In addition to 104 summer specials in two different routes as declared earlier, Eastern Railway will run 74 additional summer special trains between New Jalpaiguri – Kolkata, Sealdah – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus & Howrah – New Coochbehar.
26 weekly summer specials will run between New Jalpaiguri & Kolkata, leaving New Jalpaiguri o­n every Saturday between April 1 & June 24, 2017 and Kolkata o­n every Sunday between April 2 & June 25, 2017. The up train 05246 will leave Kolkata station o­n 23.20 hrs and reach New Jalpaiguri at 12.00 hrs the next day. The down train 05245 will leave New Jalpaiguri at 21.15 hrs and reach Kolkata at 7.45 hrs the next day.

22 Sealdah – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus weekly summer special will leave Sealdah (02255) o­n every Sunday at 17.30 hrs between April 16 & June 25, 2017 and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.45 hrs the next day. The down train (2256) will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.20 hrs o­n every Tuesday between April 18 & June 27, 2017 and reach Sealdah at 20.40 hrs. the next day.
26 Howrah – New Coochbehar weekly summer special will leave Howrah (03059) at 00.10 hrs o­n Wednesday between April 5 & June 28, 2017 and reach New Coochbehar at 13.30 hrs the same day. The down train (03060) will leave New Coochbehar at 21.00 hrs o­n Wednesday between April 5 & June 28, 2017 and reach Howrah at 10.45 hrs. the next day.
These 74 summer special will run in addition to 104 summer special trains scheduled to be running between Kolkata – Chhpra – Asansol, Kolkata – Raxaul – Asansol, Asansol – Patna, Howrah – New Jalpaiguri, Sealdah – Kamakhya and Malda – Haridwar.

WR'S NIGHT BLOCK BETWEEN CHURCHGATE AND MUMBAI CENTRAL ON SUNDAY, 12th FEBRUARY, 2017

A Night block will be taken o­n Up & Dn slow lines from 00.15 hrs to 05.15 hrs during midnight of Saturday, 11th February and Sunday, 12th February, 2017 between Churchgate and Mumbai Central local stations for maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipments. During the block all Up & Dn slow line trains will run o­n Up & Dn fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central local stations.

होगा| तत्पश्चात एक वेरीफिकेशन कोड भेजा जायेगा, इस प्रकार प्रक्रिया पूर्ण होगी।
इस प्रक्रिया के तहत आरक्षण कराने की तिथि से एक दिन पूर्व ई टोकन प्राप्त करना होगा। ई टोकन प्राप्त करने के लिए 1000 बजे से 1700 बजे के मध्य रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना होगा। 1730 से 1830 बजे के मध्य कम्प्यूटर द्वारा रैंडम सेलेक्शन प्रक्रिया के तहत 15 टोकन उच्च श्रेणी (एसी) तथा 15 टोकन स्लीपर क्लास (नान एसी) के लिए आवंटित किये जायेंगे और 1 से 15 तक लाइन की पोजीशन यूजर के मोबाइल पर एसएमएस द्वारा भेजा जायेगा, जैसा कि उच्च श्रेणी तत्काल की बुकिंग 1000 बजे से एव स्लीपर क्लास की 1100 बजे से शुरु होती है। यात्रियों को 30 मिनट पूर्व आरक्षण काउन्टर पर उपस्थित दर्ज कराना होगा और मोबाइल पर भेजे गये एसएमएस को काउन्टर पर दिखाना होगा|
तदनुसार तत्काल टिकट की बुकिंग समय पर प्रारम्भ होगी। यह सुविधा मात्र एक काउन्टर पर सुलभ होगी। जिन यात्रियों को ई टोकन नहीं प्राप्त होगा,उन्हें भी एसएमएस द्वारा सूचना भेजी जायेगी। इस सुविधा के तहत कोई भी यात्री एक महीने में 8 ई टोकन से अधिक नहीं प्राप्त कर सकेगा। अन्य काउन्टरों पर पूर्व की भांति तत्काल आरक्षण संपादित होता रहेगा।

Improve mobility in rail operations while according top priority to safety as the deadlines for meeting the targets set for current fiscal is fast approaching said Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway. He was addressing a Video Conference of Divisional Railway Manager’s of all six divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded from Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad today i.e. 6th February 2017.
The General Manager in his address called upon the Divisional Railway Managers to do integrated maintenance of railway tracks in order to resolve safety and mobility issues. IRWWCO is the apex body of the chain of women’s welfare voluntary organizations spread over all Indian Railways engaged in the task of welfare of railway employees and their families through various need-based social welfare activities. The organization started its activities in 1962 after Indo-China War, and while the primary concern of the Organization is the welfare of Railway employees and their families, it has always risen to the call of the society and the nation¬ be it environmental awareness, family welfare drives, disturbances o­n the borders or the natural calamities.

Train No.42002 Gummidipundi – MMC EMU local, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at 02.45 hrs., will be fully cancelled.
Train No.42004 Gummidipundi – MMC EMU local, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at 04.00 hrs., will be fully cancelled.
Train No.42006 Gummidipundi – MMC EMU local, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at 04.55 hrs., will be fully cancelled.
Train No.42008 Gummidipundi – MMC EMU local, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at 05.20 hrs., will be fully cancelled.
B.The following express trains will be dealt o­n wrong line and delayed o­n 10.02.2017

Train No.13351 Dhanbad – Alappuzha Express will be dealt o­n wrong line from Gummidipundi to Minjur.Consequently, the train will be delayed and reach Jolarpettai late by 110 minutes.
Train No.12839 Howrah – Chennai Central Mail will be dealt o­n wrong line from Gummidipundi to Minjur and reach Chennai Central late by 100 minutes.
Train No.12516 Guwahati – Thiruvananthapuram Express will be dealt o­n wrong line from Gummidipundi to Minjur.Consequently, the train will be delayed and reach Jolarpettai late by 90 minutes.

C.The following express trains will be regulated / delayed o­n 10.02.2017

Train No.12604 Hyderabad – Chennai Central Express will be regulated at Kavaraipettai for 40 minutes and consequently will reach Chennai Central late by 45 minutes.
Train No.17644 Kakinada Port – Chengalpattu Circar Express will be regulated at Gummidipundi for 35 minutes and consequently will reach Chengalpattu late by 40 minutes.
Train No.12616 Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Chennai Central Grand Trunk Express will be regulated at Elavur for 30 minutes and consequently will reach Chennai Central late by 35 minutes.
Train No.12622 New Delhi – Chennai Central Tamil Nadu Express will reach Chennai Central late by 10 minutes.

D.The following passenger special EMU services will be operated o­n 10.02.2017

Passenger Special 1 from Gummidipundi to MMC will leave Gummidipundi at 05.55 hrs.
