बिलासपुर(निप्र)। रायगढ़ के नजदीक किरोड़ीमल स्टेशन में शनिवार सुबह 4.55 बजे कोयले से भरी मालगाड़ी के तीन वैगन पटरी से उतर गए। मालगाड़ी की रफ्तार इतनी तेज थी कि इस घटना में पटरी व सिग्नल पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए।
मालगाड़ी रायगढ़ से बिलासपुर की ओर आ रही थी। इस दौरान लाइन नंबर -2 में अचानक इंजन के सातवें नंबर से तीन वैगन एक बाद एक पटरी से उतरे गए। मालगाड़ी इतनी रफ्तार में थी कि वैगन के पहिए अलग होकर टूट गए। इससे पटरी क्षतिग्रस्त होने के अलावा सिग्नल भी टूटकर गिर गए। इधर घटना के बाद रेल अफसरों में हड़कंप मंच गया। इंजीनियरिंग विभाग से लेकर अन्य विभाग के सारे अधिकारी व कर्मचारी घटनास्थल पर पहुंच गए। डीआरएम देबराज पंडा समेत कुछ अन्य अधिकारी भी बिलासपुर से घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना हुए। एआरटी वैन भी मौके पर पहुंच गई।

इस घटना के कारण अप व डाउन लाइन दोनों को बंद कर दिया। मौके पर पहुंचे दल ने अप व डाउन लाइन को क्लीयर किया। करीब दो घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद लाइन क्लीयर हो गई।
दो ट्रेन प्रभावित
मालगाड़ी के वैगन पटरी से उतरने के कारण अप व डाउन लाइन बंद हो गई थी। इसके चलते दो ट्रेनों का परिचालन भी प्रभावित हुआ। 12810 हावड़ा- मुंबई मेल एक्सप्रेस के पहिए सुबह 5 बजे से लेकर 6.50 बजे तक रायगढ़ स्टेशन में ही थमे रहे। वहीं जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस को भी करीब एक घंटे तक रोककर रखा गया। लाइन क्लीयर होने के बाद पहले मेल एक्सप्रेस फिर जनशताब्दी को रवाना किया गया। 6.35 बजे डाउन लाइन व 6.48 बजे अप लाइन सामान्य हुआ।

बिलासपुर (निप्र)। उत्तर भारत में शीतलहर और कोहरे के कारण ट्रेनों की चाल बिगड़ गई है। कटनी रूट से आने वाली अधिकांश ट्रेनें 10 से 12 घंटे देरी से चल रही हैं। हालात यह है कि होम सिग्नल पर ड्राइवरों को पटाखों के माध्यम से सिग्नल देना पड़ रहा है।
दिल्ली समेत पूरे उत्तर भारत में इन दिनों शीतलहर और कोहरे का प्रकोप है। इसके कारण इस रूट से आने वाली ट्रेनों के पहिए धीमे हो गए हैं। शनिवार को सारनाथ एक्सप्रेस समेत अमरकंटक, उत्कल एवं नौतनवा एक्सप्रेस 10 से 12 घंटे देरी से पहुंचीं। कोहरे के कारण ड्राइवरों को सिग्नल एक्सचेंज करने में काफी परेशानी उठानी पड़ रही है। तापमान में भारी गिरावट और कोहरे के कारण 20 से 50 मीटर तक की दूरी को देख पाना संभव नहीं है।

वजह है कि स्टेशन मास्टर अपने स्टॉफ को भेजकर होम सिग्नल में पटाखे जलाकर ड्राइवरों को सूचित कर रहे हैं। वहीं कई जगहों पर पीली बत्ती का भी उपयोग किया जा रहा है, ताकि यात्रियों समेत जान माल की सुरक्षा की जा सके। इधर मौसम विभाग ने उत्तर भारत में फरवरी के प्रथम सप्ताह तक यही स्थिति होने का अनुमान लगाया है। इससे साफ है कि आने वाले दिनों में भी यात्रियों की मुश्किलें कम नहीं होने वाली है।

Railways exempts Levying Traffic Block Charges on HMRL for undertaking Metro Works Related to Crossing of Railway Track
During the recent meeting of Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, with Shri K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, the issue of levying of block charges by Railways for permitting traffic block for Metro rail crossing works over SCR track was discussed.

Taking into account the views of the State Government of Telangana and Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL), this issue was re-examined by Railway Board. A woman tourist from Kolkata was killed and several others were injured on Monday when the Jungle Safari special toy train derailed in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, police said.
After one of the three coaches of the toy train derailed near Chunabhatti, around 30 km from here, tourists panicked and jumped from the train.
One of them, Moli Pal, was hit on the head when she jumped and fell on the ground and died, the police said, adding that several others sustained minor injuries.
Tourists take the Jungle Safari special toy train of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to enjoy the beauty of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. - PTI

Kottayam: The train services on Thiruvalla-Chengannur route has been delayed after a crack was detected in the track on Monday morning.
The crack was detected at Othara located between Thiruvalla and Chengannur stations. Accordingly, the train service in the route was disrupted. The maintenance work is in progress.

Eleven members of a family and the driver of a van they were travelling in were killed and three others seriously injured when the vehicle was hit by a train at an unmanned level crossing in Sarsod village of Hisar in Haryana.The incident took place on Monday morning when the family, which hailed from Balak village, was going to Panghal village for a religious function, police said.As their Tata Magic vehicle approached the unmanned level crossing at Sarsod village it slowed down. But due to poor visibility owing to fog, the driver was unable to spot the approaching Dhuri-Sirsa passenger train. The three injured have been identified as Anil, Nitin and Navneet. They are stated to be out of danger.

Twelve members of a family, including four children, were killed and three others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a passenger train at an unmanned rail crossing in Hisar district of Haryana on Monday.   The driver of the minivan was among those killed, SHO, Government Railway Police, Hisar, Bhim Sein said.   He said the passenger train from Dhuri in Punjab was headed to Sirsa in Haryana when the accident occurred near village Sarsod, about 30 km from here.    The victims belonged to village Balak  and were on their way to attend a religious function when the mishap took place, with low visibility due to fog being stated as the possible reason for the mishap, police said.     The three injured, who were also travelling in the Tata Magic vehicle, have been admitted to the Civil Hospital at Hisar.

Visakhapatnam/Komarada (Viziangaram): CPI Maoists of Vamsadhara, Nagavali and Gumsara divisons blew up the railway tracks between Muniguda and Munikhol in Odisha's Rayagada district in the wee hours of Saturday.
A railway official was injured in the blast, the government railway police officials said, adding that the Reds triggered the blast to protest against US president Barrack Obama's visit. The blasts occurred between 1.30 am and 4 am. Cops found a banner and some Maoist posters at the spot.

KORAPUT: A railway trackman was injured and train services disrupted after suspected Maoists blew up a portion of the track between Muniguda and Munikhol in Rayagada district late on Friday.
The injured, Hari Mirda, was discharged from Muniguda hospital after treatment.
Police said around 20 to 25 Maoists arrived near the railway tracks t Munikhol, about 2 km from Muniguda station, around 1.30am and triggered a landmine blast. "The spot is 100 metre from a CRPF camp. A portion of the track was badly damaged, hampering movement of trains," an official source said.
