உத்தரப் பிரதேசத்தில் ரயில் சக்கரத்தில் தீப்பிடித்ததால் பீதியடைந்து கீழே குதித்த 6 பயணிகள் எதிரே வந்த மற்றொரு ரயில் மோதி உயிரிழந்தனர். அங்குள்ள எடாவா நகரில் செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை இரவு இந்த சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்துள்ளது.
தில்லிக்கு சென்று கொண்டிருந்த ஜனசாதரண் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயிலின் மூன்றாவது பெட்டியின் சக்கரத்தில் திடீரென தீப்பிடித்தது. இதனால் ஏற்பட்ட புகை பெட்டிக்குள் பரவியதால் பயணிகள் பீதியடைந்தனர். அப்போது ரயில் மெதுவாக சென்று கொண்டிருந்தது.
