Gauge changeable sleepers at Arunachal Jn. The inner sets of pandrol clip holes are for the MG. When the day comes for gauge conversion, itsa simple matter of moving the rails slightly further apart. Trains can still operate during the initial instillation phase, meaning far less disruption to the service.

The DHARMANAGAR - AGARTALA sec is made with that slipers .
& the all railway project in NE like JIRIBUM- TUPUL , AGARTALA - SABRUM used it.

instead of using 4 tracks, bangladesh and sri lanka use dual tracks. one track remains the same for both broad/metre gauge and opne more track is laid inside broad gauge track for running metre gauge...that is 3 tracks on a single sleeper...1st and 3rd for broad gauge...1st and middle 2nd one for metre gauge...i am real poor in making things understand so i am sure i wd hv confused many instead of clarifying things...i mean to say when 3 tracks can do a thing why go for 4?

It is not make for dual guage .
Now MG train runs from this line . AFTER GC between LMG & AGARTALA ,, It converting into BG without changing sliper only chaning rails from inner pandrol clip to outer pandrol clip..
