In SECR pink book it was mentioned as ( New Line connectivity for energy corridors in SER, SECR, ECR, ECOR and ER (Umbrella work 2023-24) ) : 300 crores

Some pictures from my today concluded trip in 12873 Jharkhand swarnajayanti express from Renukut to Anvt. Though I have travelled enough in 12817, this was my first experience with 12873.

Pic 1,2 - Renukut station pics. Isko dekh kar Dhanbad Gomoh ki keemat samajh mein aati hai. Kya bura haal bnaa k rakha hai ECR ne CIC section railway stations kaa. These stations are lagging by 5-10 years behind India's developed stations. Amritkaal things

Pic 3,4 - Rush at platform to board the train. 12873 attracts crazy patronage from Renukut. 2 mins halt is very less for huge chunk of people who take this train. One good daily superfast is badly needed to cater to the demand from Singrauli - Sonebhadra belt

Pic 5 - After getting delayed by 45 mins in Renukut, to arriving before time at Chopan

Pic 6 - Ahmedabad Kolkata express standing at Chopan

Pic 7, 8 - After departing on time from Chopan, woke up at 8 AM in shock to see that we were standing at Prayagraj and train was delayed by almost 4 hours, thanks to fog conditions in the route

Pic 9 - Amrapali express Xing before Ghaziabad

Pic 10, 11 - After an excellent run from Kanpur to Delhi, the train arrived at ANVT almost 5 hours delayed. The train was hauled by TATA WAP 7

#Doubling Update Katni-Singrauli- Chopan-Renukut- Garhwa Road and Shaktinagar Branch line

Katni-Singrauli - 261 KM ( 78 KM pending Marwasgram to Vijaysota ) , Delayed due to Sanjay Tiger reserve. Vijaysota to Beohari will be completed in coming month (postponed ) and FLS has been going on for alternate alignment between beohari and marwasgram to avoid tiger reserve totally.

Singrauli- Chopan - 63 KM (6 KM pending Phaprakund to Obra dam ) , delayed due to Rihand bridge construction at Obra dam.


Chopan to Garhwa Road - 141 KM. 11 KM Renukut to Jogidih, delayed due to multiple bridges and terrains.


Karaila Road - Shaktinagar 32 KM ( 5 KM Anpara Road to Krishnashilla ) , pending due to curved rail bridge at Anpara.


Total excl. Shaktinagar branch line - 465 KM , Doubling done 375 KM i.e. almost 85% .

Completion by Zone

ECR 91%
WCR 70 %

Soon this route will be double electrified route in coming 1 year.
