TT now updated on indianrail.gov.in, No change in overall arrival and departure at Vasco and Howrah. Looking forward for a railfan to capture it entering VSKP.
Hope the train maintains its TT and is allowed to overtake Prashanti at VSKP in HWH VSG run.
it WILL OVER TAKE prasanthi now. The only change required is DVD. DVD arrival can be 13:25

Accordingly, Train No.18047 Howrah-Vasco-da-gama Amaravathi (04 days a Week) Express and Train 12254 Bagalpur-Yesvantpur Weekly Express will arrive/depart at Vizianagaram station at 11-35/11-37 hrs. instead of 11-40/11-55 hrs.; and arrive/depart at VISAKHAPATNAM at 12-35/12-55 hrs. and arrive/depart atDuvvada at 13-33/13-35 hrs. instead of 13-28/13-30 hrs., with effect from 01st July, 2015.

Nothing to worry about it bro. I don't think that there is any train in IR which 100% maintains its schedule at all intermediate stations. So I think Amaravati will trail Prashanti till VSKP and get starter ahead of it from VSKP. But indeed very glad that finally Vasco and Visakhapatnam are connected by rail even though this train is horrible in terms of maintenance and crowd.
I am travelling from MAO to VSKP on 7th Jul in this train, is maintenance that bad?
While booking MAO to VSKP was WL, so booked from MAO to BAM - RAC, felt it was better than trying for Tatkal.
I had travelled in this train twice once in December 2007 and May 2008 first time from UBL to VSG in SL class coach was an old and dirty one second time it was from LD to VSG in UR it was crowded, dirty.
Sometimes I have seen this train with one or two new SL coaches too at VSG. But mostly bad coaches from outside. MAO to VSKP 24 hours journey that too in July which is offseason so you can expect limited rush so more chances of a somewhat better rake. But you can very much enjoy the scenic route it travels through.
Hi Friends ! I always wonder one thing when it comes to this train. what would have propogated the Ministry in 2007 to extend the 17226/7 VSG BZA Amaravati express to as far as upto HOWRAH. coz i always heard of demands of extending 17225/7 from BZA to NS/CCT/VSKP but never myself imagined that this train from BZA would be extended upto Howrah crossing 3 state boundaries.. It just gave an WWooWW experience hearing the news at that time. Was there any demand from public at goa/hubli/enroute at that time of a train to Howrah. What was the main reaosn behind this step ?
Yeah its extension to Howrah was a surprise one but proved to be very successful. There were demands for a extending Vasco BZA Amaravati express to VSKP but HWH was not much asked I think. But one thing Railways overlooked was the slip they should have realised that it was never wise to run a slip with this train covering many important destinations enroute and should have introduced a new dedicated train to HYB from Vasco.

Even wen its introduction its GNT UBL FP later to BZA ..later to VSG n den directly to HWH at dat time due to Didi madam..completely changed to a different train ..finally GTL GNT stretch got some relief with 17225 /26 made daily
The reason why UBL and VSG connected is before SWR UBL div is in SCR.
Now SWR has prob of running new trains Londa-VSG sections so insted of new train bza-vsg extended to hwh

Goa has been always neglected from railways for internal connectivity. Only Madgaon gets train that too just coz of an imp station in Konkan route.
Goa is a small state but it doesn't mean it dont requires internal connectivity, when mrts runs in cities like Delhi Mumbai Hyderabad n Chennai etc Goa is also not small as per area then.
Railway can atleast arrange few things for internal connectivity in Goa.It even dont require much, 6 to 8cars DEMU rake will also make somehow Goans happy.

filing RTI would have been the next option normally, but here i am clueless on how to proceed here.
Heard something interesting about this train about from some friends of mine and dad at Vasco Da Gama, that prior to the night before its departure in the morning passengers mostly unreserved ones from the entire state gather outside the premises of VSG Railway station and spend the entire night outside the station because of following two reasons:
1. The officials of VSG railway station don't allow the unreserved passengers in until morning and even maybe some people feel it convenient outside as the place is much less smelly than the tracks. Lol.
2. Train departs Vasco early in the morning at 7.10 am and unlike other states local buses don't start here early at 5.00 am or so. Some people may say that they can board it at Madgaon or Sanvordem
But should have included VSG-SBC daily,present bi weekly and one trip slip is not a justified action by SWR
Yeah I forgot to include it other trains included were Vasco Mumbai daily via KR and Vasco Nagpur biweekly via Miraj, Solapur.
There was a daily MG train between Vasco to Bangalore. The present Vasco YPR is too slow people prefer buses over it.They should cancel it and introduce a train as:
Vasco Dep. 21.30
SBC Arr. 9.30
SBC Dep. 18.00
VSG Arr. 6.00.
not sure with timings...but should be in between KSK and RC exp ...

Because they wish to run more freight trains here even after ban on iron ore mining there is heavy freight movement here due to Mormugao Port at Vasco.
So then how can we expect a new trains in budj then?

Rake availabilty is not the prob of SWR to run trains in this route is what i understood,SWR has other own problem

Sourav, I am asking you, whether VM or PDY can handle 3-4 hour cleanup for a UBL-VM/ PDY on a regular basis? I am not asking any big favour for this SWR train. Let us not get into too many technicalities of primary maint, secondary maint, pit line, etc.
SR and SWR are getting free run of a CR train, by using Chalukya rakes. SWR is happy as it has distrubed their own zone people,by slowing down this train.
Why SR or SWR is not running any train (don't say weekly via Salem)? People are breaking their backs in the Krishnagiri-TV Malai road, which is the worst road I have ever seen in my life.
But, coming to the point, why SR can't give some water and clean up the train at VM or PDY for this UBL train?
straight answer Is no. SR has union probs . This answer will solve all ur queries regarding SR. SR employees are not efficient.

Citing this inefficiency, can we write to CR to terminate Chalukyas at YPR itself and not to send their trains to TEN and PDY?
there are many ocassions where SR Suffered due to unions. Can u say single MAS division train well maintained apart from MYS shatabdi. ? Don't say it as a maintenance. You are very much welcome to terminate.

Many times MAS rajdhani has went without reservation charts. Do u know that ? There are many other incidents which I'm not privileged to say out.
Let us not get into problems, for which we cannot propose any solutions. This discussion is about timing/ TT of a UBL-MAS spl and landed somewhere else. Still, I am not convinced about why this UBL train cannot start from MS or go any other nearby stn for cleanup and return?

Why can't IR run a Weekly service to Vasco Da Gama with this rake. This rake lies idle from Monday Morning 8 am atleast to Thursday Night 2 pm ( excluding primary maintenance).
It can depart LTT Mondays at 20:50 ERS Duru slot n arrve VSG Tues Morn at 8 am. Similarly it can depart Vasco at 19:05 hrs (VSG PNBE slot) to arrive LTT at 05:45 hrs just behind KK.
