This train even in non monsoon has average speed below 55kph inspite of being a SF train. Gets overtaken by even M/E trains, has unnecessary overtake by Matsyagandha SF in KR. Either Railways increase its average to 60kph which should be possible considering the route it travels by reducing the unnecessary slack or degrade it to M/E category so passengers are not cheated.
Whats the use of repeated train??
Best it could be routed to HWH via NGT,TPJ,MS,BZA
And what do you expect people of Konkan-Karavali/Malabar to do to reach Velankanni?
What logic is it dude?
this is a spl train on ocassion for imp velankani festival.
Not for people fo HWH or BZA
Wht do u mean by repeated train?
tatkal spl would be more passenger friendly
ha ha from hwh u want let ser or sr run a spl
UBL div is branch of SCR
so trains belong to UBL base and VSG base will have 173XX or 127XX
Posted a grievance for Goa Rajdhani from NDLS to VSG got the following reply:
At present, running of a new Rajdhani Express between Vasco Da Gama and New Delhi is not feasible due to operational and resource constraints. However, introduction of new train services including Rajdhani Express is an on-going process over Indian Railways subjet to availability of resources, operational feasibility etc. Moreover, 2 train services serving Madgaon viz. 22413/22414 Nizamuddin-MAO Premium AC Express and 22653/22654/22655/22656 TVC-NZM (via MAO) Express bi-weekly have been announced in Railway Budget 2014-15.
no need of rajdhani already premium announced.
How can you say Rajdhani not needed. Other states are having both Rajdhani and Premium too.
Standing on VSG PF3
CC as follows
SLR UR S9 TO S1 B3/BE1 B2 B1 A1 UR UR SLR
Suprisingly B3 marked as both B3 & BE1 inspite of the augmentation being a permanent one, maybe due to B3 being present in the slip too.
Slip coaches attached behind the rake.
Loco link GY WDG3A Twins.
I would have clicked that pic too but few RPF guys were present there. Also I was sitting in my VSG QLM passenger with rains outside.
Its mentioned in the CC column..
now BE1 is permanently added as B4.. this doubt was cleared by Kaushik sir a few weeks back.. B3 is the slip coach.. B1, B2 & B4 in main portion
Hmm when was that done..Since some of the PNRs of 18047 shows B3 in June & July.
Yesterday as per my eyes it was marked as both B3 and BE1. Saw it at VSG. Maybe on another rake its marked as B4 but yesterday I saw it as I informed.
proof of B4 in main train after permanent argumentation
yes that may be the case as runs with 3 rakes... other rakes may be marked as B4
Actually SER should have marked marked it as just B3 and slip should have been marked as BE1.
Unnecessary confusion created three different coach numbers for one coach ie. B3, BE1 & B4 too.
no why ? slip is permanent as well.. since it was B3 & new one was marked B4...
Nope VSG HWH is the main train slip accompanies it for not even 25% journey. So its better main portion is given due importance. Having 3 different coach numbers for one coach and that too in the main portion is not reasonable. They could have marked the slip 3A as B4 instead. Amaravati 3A needs to be denoted as B3 as things in order looks better.
IS there any C&W primary mainatnance for any train at VSG
SR has supplied one full rake to KR. SER and NER also have supplied one rake each. Probably rake transfers.
my family wants to visit dudh sagar waterfalls. they planned to take amaravati 18047 from ubl to dds. there are 5 adults in our family with two elderly people. so is it comfortable to take elderly people? and more important thing is will amaravati surely stop at DDS? recent travellers please answer
I just posted this: /blog/post/1539730
All Trains including Amaravati stop at all stations(Caranzol,Dudhsagar and Sonalium) while descending the ghats for brake test, Dudhsagar falls is about 700-900 mts from DDS station(Or just a tunnel away if you look at it). However as other members suggested, elderly people might find it difficult to get down the train and its not worth the risk IMO.
While going uphill trains dont need to stop at either of the three stations, atleast VSG-YPR Exp didnt. But as Mr.Vivek says and heard often, it does seem like Goa Exp and Amaravathi UP stop there.
TT now updated on indianrail.gov.in, No change in overall arrival and departure at Vasco and Howrah. Looking forward for a railfan to capture it entering VSKP.
Hope the train maintains its TT and is allowed to overtake Prashanti at VSKP in HWH VSG run.
If its SL, be careful. waiting list and some general ticket people will be there in coaches. Sleepers looks like general class with more than 72 people in one compartment
Hi Friends ! I always wonder one thing when it comes to this train. what would have propogated the Ministry in 2007 to extend the 17226/7 VSG BZA Amaravati express to as far as upto HOWRAH. coz i always heard of demands of extending 17225/7 from BZA to NS/CCT/VSKP but never myself imagined that this train from BZA would be extended upto Howrah crossing 3 state boundaries.. It just gave an WWooWW experience hearing the news at that time. Was there any demand from public at goa/hubli/enroute at that time of a train to Howrah. What was the main reaosn behind this step ?
Yeah its extension to Howrah was a surprise one but proved to be very successful. There were demands for a extending Vasco BZA Amaravati express to VSKP but HWH was not much asked I think. But one thing Railways overlooked was the slip they should have realised that it was never wise to run a slip with this train covering many important destinations enroute and should have introduced a new dedicated train to HYB from Vasco.
Actually its first UBL BZA
Even wen its introduction its GNT UBL FP later to BZA ..later to VSG n den directly to HWH at dat time due to Didi madam..completely changed to a different train ..finally GTL GNT stretch got some relief with 17225 /26 made daily
The reason why UBL and VSG connected is before SWR UBL div is in SCR.
Now SWR has prob of running new trains Londa-VSG sections so insted of new train bza-vsg extended to hwh
Yeah but even now this train has pretty good quota for UBL HWH.
Is it good to take a trip to DDS this week? R will my trip be a waste at this time? I cannot come here during monsoons. soo is it better to give a shot this time?
Goa has been always neglected from railways for internal connectivity. Only Madgaon gets train that too just coz of an imp station in Konkan route.
Goa is a small state but it doesn't mean it dont requires internal connectivity, when mrts runs in cities like Delhi Mumbai Hyderabad n Chennai etc Goa is also not small as per area then.
Railway can atleast arrange few things for internal connectivity in Goa.It even dont require much, 6 to 8cars DEMU rake will also make somehow Goans happy.
2pairs :Vasco-Mao-Swv/Pernem DEMU
1 pair: Vasco- Karwar DEMU
1 pair: Pernem-Qulem- Castle Rock passenger, railway should think over
filing RTI would have been the next option normally, but here i am clueless on how to proceed here.
