Pic 1 The track going straight is used for haulage of coal laden rakes from Jhansi side. The track curving right is less trodden path. The tracks till Parichha sidings are completely electrified. The electrification work on rest part of Parichha - Kanpur section is on full swing. OHE wires have been energized till Ait, nearby Orai, about 100 kms from Jhansi towards Kanpur.

Aftermath of RRI work
Jhansi Jumbo WDM-2 # 17860 and Yellow coloured Agra Shunting loco together bring 6 hrs late Jhansi - Kanpur Passenger post RRI. This might be a move towards decreasing the numbers of shunting locos. The train was late due to change in points which led to increase in time to couple a loco to the train. Also, the number of shunting locos have been reduced from 7 to 5. Earlier, 4 shunting locos were used during night which has been reduced to 3 and 3 shunting locos were used during the day which has been reduced to 2.
