Three WAP's standing to start action in NGP-ET route with a long goods near teegaon
i saw these type of wap's or so called "bankers" push my train from behind
Its a WAG 7 and LDH , Jhansi , Bhilai etc owns them ... One of them of Jhansi was resting at UMB.
i think lonavla is also having these WAG7 to use as bankers
Now ith GT getting a P7, anyone has any idea if bankers are getting attached in the Teegaon - ChiChonda section ?
TN is offlink with RPM WAP-7 it's regular link is ED WAP-4.....
Yes, ascending is not a deal, but the load will increase on the couplers which will b problematic.
however, having less speed limit while ascending, maintaining braking system perfectly, tat's not so tough for these locos.
This BPL - ET wala section isn't such one, but obviously Bhor, Thull and Brazanga are deadlier and adding up is KK section too.
And last thing, yeh statistics report kahan se mila?? :P
Yes, Bhor/Thull and Braganza ghat sections are quite steep.
Also, the figures indicated also takes care of coupler load. The general practice is usually bankers are given for any gradient which is steeper than 1:50, just for additional safety even if the loco is able to pull the load
Dont know. Had it somewhere on my PC. Take it with a pinch of salt, but I think it is mostly Ok especially considering how the load limit drastically changes between 1:100 and 1:50
There are two common point: CBC & Speed permitted!!
The inclusion of P-7 & CBC lead consistent trial to get into final Banker non-requirement with desirable speed !!
Raj, Hybrid, DRNTO all do have CBC Coupling & with less load, P-4 manage 65 KMPH with Raj/DRNTO Rake, which cant be possible for 25 Coach Rake (while it can ascend but with slow speed, which can lead congestion on busy track)!!
Sirjee, 24 coach cannot ascend this section even with CBC if P4 is used. It cannot even start on this gradient. It will stall and roll down. However if it enters the section with a momentum of 110kmph, it will still stall after moving for a certain distance
PS: The article discussed abt P-7 ability @ 65 KMPH but nt about p-4 disability et all!!
Was trying to find but didnt find any P-4 topic n would be grateful if been provided!!
PS: GT/Tamil Nadu use CBC Coupled ICF Caoch, not Hybrid ones!! Hence they still b banked!!
Check 916261-8. Reply no 8 in this very same post which provides the P4 capabilities/blog/post/916261/8
This is just a function of Loco / Total Tonnage for Hauling & Coupling type. Has nothing to do with LHB / ICF / Hybrid
A cute short height SB!! :)
