I remember that once I was traveling by SDAH - ASR Akal Takht Exp and it applied emergency brakes somewhere between Lucknow and Bareilly... within 7 Seconds approximately my train came to a halt from it's rapping MPS... slowing down was quite instant I must say and that too when it was a diesel WDM Loco in those days (2004) :-o
Do you remember the reason of sudden braking?? BTW How did you rate LKO-BE-MB section (in terms of speed, punctuality etc. of your train) which, I think, has good potential to ease off the pressure of crowded NCR?
Do you agree that NCR should transfer some perennially late running trains to LKO-BE-MB section??
