What a train... Non-Stop Sealdah - Dhanbad Run and back-to-back stoppages between Jaipur Gandhinagar and Jaipur Jn. Any chance of IR to regularize this train if it gets good patronage after Durga Puja (in case of a trial extension)? :-D
will get terribly delayed in ALD-CNB-TDL sec..

RAILFANNING AT MY HOMETOWN!
It was saturday the 25th of July, when I set off for Kolkata. I reached Dhanbad Junction at 10:00 AM so to click some photographs of Dhanbad Junction. I was aiming for the 12988 Ajmer-Sealdah Superfast and planned to avoid the 13152 JammuTawai-Kolkata Express.
The PRS came to life and announced that both of the train were delayed by over an hour. Still wanting to avoid the 13152 I took a stroll along Platform number 1, and clicked a few snaps.
As it can be seen, it was a beautiful overcast morning, with occassional torrential downpour. The station drenched in the rains looked very fresh and was an eye-soother.
Well it is not exactly Sealdah's fault. The confluence of so many railway lines at Dum Dum Jn doesn't make things easy for the Sealdah Control room. Priority is obviously given to the local trains, over the long running trains. However there is always room for improvement.
If HWH can manage surely SDAH can as well!
Presenting you once again the video of the DLW's Golden Jubilee Celebration Loco ( TKD WDP-4B #40079 PRATEEK ) hauling Jaipur - Delhi Sarai Rohilla DOUBLE DECKER AC EXPRESS. This is one of the most famous locomotives of Indian Railways. The footage was taken near Kirti Nagar Railway Station on 3rd August 2015, 10:09AM.
After all these months since it's allotment, the sheer force of it's presence was mesmerizing and holding interest as if by a spell.

All I know is that Loco has been repainted recently... no idea if any special paint of clear coating has been used.
I'll let you know if I notice anything special in paintwork... my ride on board this loco is coming soon.
MG trains restored in BG lines in Rajasthan:-
1. 19711/12 JP-SGNR EXP MG -- predecessor of now 22981/82 SGNR-KOTA SF.
note:- 19711/12 is now JP-BPL EXP.
2. 14789/90 RE-BKN MG EXP -- predecessor of now 22471/72 DEE-BKN ICE.
3. 14709/10 RE-BKN MG MAIL -- succeeded by now 12457/58 DEE-BKN SF EXP.
4. 14715/16 RE-AII CHETAK MG( originally DEE-UDZ CHETAK MG EXP) -- succeeded by 12981/82 CHETAK SF EXP.
5. 19769/70 JP-PURNA MG EXP(originally THE LEGENDARY MINAKSHI EXP)-- predecessor of now 19713/14 JP-SC EXP VIA RTM-NRKR.
Pink City express should be also re-stored Now..that was the fastest MG train of India before gauge conversion.

Similar is the timings of this train:
AII Dept: 7:05
JP Dept: 9:10
AF Dept: 13:30
impossible to reach before 7AM during returning
1) typo: its 7PM.
even if it reaches by 11PM (4 hrs late, Primary maintainance timings is sufficient), also I have given a slack of 45 minutes in AF-JP section, and 20 min in JP-AII section!!!
ohh...sorry, i want to say about timing at ALD.
after departing 2:30, its too much tough for reaching before 7 AM at ALD due to congestion
sir, present condition ke hisaab se iss train ko MGS-ALD ke beech kisi bhi time chala do, lekin ye ALD time par to pahuchni hai nahi!
lekin Rajdhani Gang ke baad 2:30 ke around Toofan and Patna Pune hai daily train! ussi slot thoda bahut adjust karke isko nikal lenge!!!
Pune Patna and Tufan hi konsi time pe pahuch paati he ALD
wo chalo thik hai, lets take MGS to ALD delay of 2 hrs. ALD AF delay of 1 hr around, and AF to AII make up 1 hrs. so overall avg delay of 2-3 hrs at AII is fine nly!!!

Wo bhi to 8 baje se pehle nahi pahuchati hai, Ald.
For return train timings clash with Gomti at Cnb. 12988 would also not reach before 3 am at Mgs. Guaranteed. It has been put into a busy slot, as 12424 would ot it before Ald. And after that it will easily come in radar of Rajdhanis.
Also 12987 will be disturbed by Gomti after Cnb, even if dep 5 mins late
