first thing no intercity shud get lhb .. coz its a loss of general passengers .. the eogs r completely useless.. better to run it om icf that wud hav more space to accomodate.. nd after lhbification of other longer daily running trains then one shud think abt intercities
But compared to normal Sleeper trains, impact of reduction in UR coaches is lesser in intercity trains, due to larger seating capacity of LHB coaches (especially 2S type coaches) and the usually higher number of UR coaches in ICE trains. Added to that, LHB will be a safer option for ICE's as these trains usually run with dense crush loads.

LKO-CDG Superfast standing on PF 3. The engine for the day was GZB P5. The train had 2 Deen Dayalu General coaches attached to it. As one can see, there was heavy rush for the train. While taking the pic, Kashi Vishwanth Express coming from NDLS was entering PF4 running 40 mins late, lead by WDP 4D.
