This is the terminus of a 28Km line that runs from its broad gauge interchange at Shantipur Junc. served by EMUs out of Calcutta Sealdah. It is most unusual in being worked entirely by DMU vehicles with power cars pulling trailers and here the power car runs around in preparation the return journey, it will in addition require turning on a turntable!. It was late in the day and the light was fading in the dusk of a north Indian winter.
