Progress of khana-pakur railway electrification is very fast in this financial year.work is almost done except some short.so i guess in the month of aug/sept'15 we see that santiniketan exp and sahid exp will hauled by WAP-7 loco and many intercity exp(like sdah-rph) ,visvabharati will hauled by WAP/WAM-4 loco.I think about some of the train.
1. Santiniketan exp:wap-7
2.sdah-rph intercity:
...
wap-4
3.saheed exp:wap-4
4.bwn-rph intercity:wap-4
5. Visvabharati/mayurakshi fast psg:wam-4
6.all local: wam-4
7. Hwh-suri( via bhp) / hool: wap-4
8.kaviguru exp:wap-4
If we lucky then we can seen some emu in next financial year in this section.

No such news of upgradation of section mps to 130kmph, ..
Regarding electrification work, khana-rampurhat is fully wired and could be functional if SSPs are completed soon.. As much I saw on 02.01.15, jhapaterdhal, prantik, sainthia, rampurhat and pakur are the locations where SSP/TWS/ SP are located.. Only Rampurhat SSP is working now.

Today i heard a news that in month of march/april, khana(exl)-snt(exl) section, crs is happened......for one and only reason of low overbridge in sainthia prevents the crs in a whole section i.e. khana-rph.....

Sainthia bridge will not be raised, current wiring arrangements show that.. Infact pantographs would be lowered.. CRS inspection will take place once energization of wires is done.

Press release is ok, but it would now take a little more time for energizing, coz the track between Mahishahadari and SNT, alongwith whole SNT station are unwired till now... :( Don't know why they publicly declare before finishing the work...

They are just making a press release so that by rule book they can show project is complete. It will help Project Office to get fresh fund for future project.
.
Or may be a rule that if part of the stretch is complete & energised with high voltage then they declare entire stretch as electrified. Just a guess... :)

Recently I traveled via this station means in Andal Sainthia route.I saw lots of development done by asansol division in last few years.
few years ago it was single line so there was a problem for running trains like passengers and goods, used to get maximum time.
Now it is doubled line, also the railways track are nice constructed that can give maximum speed upto 100kmph.
Also
...
this was to notice there was few areas of speed restriction.THere wasnt any problem in getting signal too.
From Andal ,the electrification work is going on smoothly too.Upto Pandabeswar i noticed this.
I noticed Pandebeswar SSP like others stations too.
Hope rest will be completed soon.if it made electrified then connectivity between Malda or north nengal to industrial area of durgapur asansol ,adra, bankura will be smooth engough.
While on the other side Khana Sainthia Electification project just remain silent.Nothing such indication of work.
A small station after Siuri that have 4 plaftrom that have hardly 12 trains a days while Station like Rampurhat that have 110trains a day total just have 3platfroms.as a result maximum train failed to reach station in time.
Howrah Division development is not significntly compare to asansol division.
