7091/92 Secunderabad-Varanasi and 7089/90 Cochin-Varanasi kuda undeevi kada sir... naaku telisi TPTY-BSB(7491/92) was tri-weekly, later one day extended to Cochin(7489/90 later 7089/90) making TPTY-BSB bi-weekly. Members, please correct me if I am wrong.
In 1985, 1st it was TPTY-BSB Exp (7489/7490) with slip coach service of two sleeper coaches between Hyderabad and Varanasi with amalgamation/bifurcation at Kazipet Junction with Dakshin Express. Later it got extended to Cochin Harbour Terminus and with the reduction of frequency from biweekly to weekly, via Tirupati owing to some political and administration influences. A demand of new train between Hyderabad and Varanasi has been approved by Indian Railways and a new train between "7091" Secunderabad–Varansi Express and "7092" Varansi–Secunderabad Express was flagged off as biweekly in 1987. the same coaches and rake composition is used as "7089" Cochin–Varansi Express via Tirupati and "7090" Varanasi–Tirupati Express via Tirupati by cancelling "7489" and "7490" numbering. Till 2004, 7091 and 7092 ran as bi-weekly and later got extended till Patna. source: click here I have seen many railfans terming present SC-DNR Exp as Tirupati Exp.
