Bihar has good railway connectivity than other eastern states due to max. no. of rail ministers for last 20-25 years. But, in terms of economy , growth & developments, Bihar may be behind other 3 states as there is no heavy industries & mines as well other source of revenue.
WB and Bihar are the leaders, Orissa & Jharkhand are in mid level and Assam at last. (1)- With several intercity trains connecting the major cities with the State Capital, Almost all of the cities on railway network, large number of long distance trains WB is number one. Historically the Railway development was oriented with Kolkata as one of the 4 focal points (other being Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi). (3) Orissa inherited a section of HWH-MAS & HWH-CSTM trunk lines. Substantial new lines were constructed for the mineral rich state which continues to give a huge profit to IR. After creation of ECoR zone and with efforts of state govt, many trains were introduced and substantial capacity augmentation was done. (4) Jharkhand inherited a section of HWH-CSTM rail line. But many rail projects are progressing as Jharkhand govt participated in state's railway projects by sharing project cost. This mineral rich state too give a lot of profit to IR (5) Assam had been a distinct laggard at the time of independence, but a lot of efforts and funds allocations have been made by IR/Govt of India to improve the connectivity of Assam to rest of the nation and the North East states through a plethora of very costly but strategically important projects (thanx to the hostile neighbouring country). Most of the lines in the state of Assam are loss making, but IR continues to spend a lot to fulfil strategic national interests.

cities and most populous cities in India.The city houses some major company bases like ITC, Britannia, Bata etc. The rural area has got developed agriculture sector which is at par with the other mentioned states, at least. The presence of places like Darjeeling, the historical city of Kolkata itself etc supports tourism sector of the state. 3. Education scene of this state has got premier institutes in the picture, like IIT, ISI, IIM, Jadavpur University, IISER, NIT to name a few. The sports sector of this states is again at par with other ones with Cricket and football being most followed sports. WB hosts international cricket matches and is also important football hub of the country. There are some major steel plants and industries in the Durgapur-Asansol belt that largely supports economy of the region. And many more!

Mr. Naidu submitted representation seeking speedy completion of pending works in the State, including connectivity between Amaravati and major cities in the south through high-speed trains. He wanted the Railway Ministry to make sufficient budgetary allocations for the completion of the Kakinada-Pithapuram, Nadikudi-Srikalahasti and Guntukal-Srikalahasti lines besides requesting the Centre to hand over maintenance of the old bridge at Rajahmundry to the State Government. The State emphasised the need for ensuring that the allocations were made in the upcoming railway budget. Mr. Chowdary said the Centre had given in-principle clearance for the railway zone in Visakhapatnam and the zone would be announced after the Union Cabinet formally gives its nod. Development package Creation of the special railway zone was part of the special development package assured to the State post bifurcation. The State had also sought the Ministry to take up works on feeder line connecting the new capital Amaravati with Guntur and Vijayawada. The Ministry was requested to consider the proposal for laying third line between Visakhapatnam and Chennai besides examining the proposals for development of infrastructure at important railway stations through joint ventures. The Railway Minister, he said, positively responded to the representation and promised that surveys would be undertaken on the proposals submitted by the State Government as well as the MPs from the State. Yes, you are right. Nothing has happen till now. But so many bashings are going on. First Rly. Ministry will discuss with Odisha Govt. as per the demands in this reagard, than any fruitful news may come for A.P peoples.

yatri iski ticket kata ke majbooran rajya rani me chadhte hain . aur jahan rajya rani nahin rukti wahan ke logon ke liye kosi hin sahara , chahe late aaye ya na aaye . Iski rake sharing hatia - patna ke saath hone ki wajah se , 18625 bhi late rehti hai ya kabhi cancel . is train ko phir se life line banane ke liye iska destination pehle ke tarah saharsha kar dena chaiye . Agar extent hin karni hai to iski jagah saharsha intercity kar de purnia jn . aur bhi kami lage to 13206[janhit] ko bhi kar de extend purnia jn tak. well guess we need to consider the fact that SHC has currently only 2 PFs and to add to the problem for train to move towards Madhepura, loco reversal is needed. so any train which is going towards Madhepura from SHC is going to get delayed and also in all probability going to delay some other train as well . Currently work being carried out to add 3 more PF's at SHC, which should take one more year to complete, but as of now no plans to solve loco reversal problem. so railway only planning half solution for this section.

Bachpan mein mai train ko chuk-chuk gaadi bolta Tha. Travelled once in this train from dhn to kpd. Woh chuk-chuk waali feeling zabardast tareeke se aaye. However this fact cannot be neglected that most of the bookings in this train is upto kpd whether in up or down.
Pls. stop misquoting me. Where have I said so? My only comment was about GS Trains and not much demand for a fully unreserved train as unlike Bihar, Jharkhand does not supply low skilled laborers in high volumes to the southern states. Pls. read my post and try to understand it.
I think you need to work on your understanding of plain English. I have never said so. I only said that Jharkhand generally has low demand of Unreserved seats to south destinations unlike Bihar. The proof is in the no. of GS Coaches in the train.
Is there any latest update on separate rakes for 13351 & 18189 ?? Though extremely difficult, have been lately hearing the same from quite a few sources. Recently travelled for a short distance by this train from ERS till PGT. The AC coach attendant and even one of the pantry staff were speaking something on similar lines. Not sure if this going to be a reality . All depends on how ECR and SER put pressure on railway authorities. ! In its return journey lot of people from ERS,PGT & CBE travel use this as a day option to travel to KPD, Chennai etc.
