I wonder how the Loco Pilots are driving the trains today..its too cold to bear & dense fog in most of the places in Northern & North Eastern India.temperature has broken all the records..Temperature in Gulma has dipped down to 2.6 Degrees C.
yeah, per you at comfortable 23 degrees @ MAS, but on our part we feel its too hot early in the year, just 10th of Jan, and the Sun is bright out there. We wish it could have been a little cooler, but to no avail with NE monsoon also ditching us.
ya that I agree...actually few years ago, even during Conversation with a Loco Pilot,he agreed that LP's actually do nothing Job.With increased Mechanised Version coming into effect, their responsiblity is to just press the buttons & monitor the path sitting in a cool & calm atmosphere. Previously during Steam Engines, the job was not so easy,as they only had to scavenge the Coal into the boilers to keep the Engine Running. But yet, continuos exposure to such extreme Cold atmosphere can in turn damage ur health badly which may not be seen immediately, but comes into effect only after a certain age.Due to continuous exposure to Cold while serving his 37 years career in Railways,my father has developed serious issues with the Nervous System,as the Veins that run through his left Legs have stopped working properly.Drivers & Guards both are exposed to almost similar situations.
