संवाद सूत्र, बिहपुर : कटिहार-बरौनी रेलखंड पर मार्च-2016 से विद्युत संचालित ट्रेनें दौड़ने लगेंगी। ट्रैक दोहरीकरण व विद्युतीकरण का काम लगभग पूरा हो चुका है। ये बातें पूर्व मध्य रेलवे हाजीपुर के जीएम एके मित्तल ने कही। वे बुधवार को गौछारी से पसराहा, नारायणपुर व बिहपुर तक रेल ट्रैक दोहरीकरण व विद्युतीकरण का निरीक्षण करने आए हुए थे। यहां से वे स्पेशल ट्रेन से बिहपुर स्टेशन पहुंचे। जहां उन्होंने बताया कि बरौनी से कटिहार तक 179 किलोमीटर रेलवे ट्रैक विद्युतीकरण का कार्य मार्च 2016 तक पूरा हो जाएगा। इसके बाद विद्युत संचालित रेल का परिचालन शुरू हो जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि बिहपुर में 90 लाख की लागत से प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर दो से मालगोदाम तक फुट ओवरब्रिज बनेगा। माह के अंत तक निर्माण कार्य शुरू हो जाएगा। इस दौरान स्टेशन पर एटीएम सुविधा बहाल करने की भी चर्चा हुई। आईओडब्ल्यू रामश्रृत ने बताया कि बिहपुर स्टेशन के सकरुलेटिंग एरिया में ग्रेनाइट पत्थर...

लगाकर बिहपुर के ऐतिहासिक स्थलों की जानकारी दी जाएगी। निरीक्षण के दौरान जीएम के साथ डीआरएम एमके अग्रवाल, जीएमई ईलेटिकल इलाहाबाद महेश मंगल, सीनियर डीएन टू आलोक कुमार झा, सीनियर डीसीएम दिलीप कुमार, एईएन थाना बिहपुर रीतेश कुमार सहित कई अधिकारी मौजूद थे। सौंपा ज्ञापन : बिहपुर व नारायणपुर में निरीक्षण के दौरान सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता व क्षेत्रीय नेताओं के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने रेलवे के विकास को लेकर जीएम को ज्ञापन सौंपा। इनमें इरफान आलम, फुलेश्वर मंडल, मनोज कुमार लाल आदि शामिल थे। की गई थी साफ-सफाई : जीएम के निरीक्षण को लेकर बरौनी-कटिहार रेलखंड के बीच सभी स्टेशनों की साफ-सफाई से लेकर रंगा-रोगण तक करने का प्रयास किया गया था। बिहपुर में बीते कई माह से बंद पड़ा कंम्प्यूट्रीकृत डिस्पले भी बुधवार को चालू दिखा।

It is a good move from the railways..... at last ab zayada late nahi hogi trains. Bas time management ache se ho. We all have to understand that.... last budget mein new trains nahi batakar ye sab basic infrasture pe dhyan diya gaya jiska resulat ab har area mein dheere dheere dikh raha hai. we should appriciate their work so that they would work more effeciently. Munger bridge, Digha Bridge, Doubling and electrification of barauni till katihar and Bhagalpur line doubling will boost the development.
kabhi kabhi govt ke initiatives ko appriciate karna chahiye... :)

Bilkul sahi shiv. Bilkul mere dil ki baat ki tumne. Hamari aadat itni kharab ho chuki hai, we have become so negative that we don't appreciate govt any time. Pahle ek govt ki burai karo ki kuchh nahi ho raha aur govt change kar do. Phir dusri govt pahle se better kare to kahna ki itna to pahle bhi hota tha, what's special in this. Why we forget govt don't have magic wand ki ghumao aur sab kuchh ho jaye, doubling ho, gauge conversion ho, electrification ho, all takes time and money. Hajaaro log ground level pe kaam karte hai tab result dikhte hai. IRI pe typing bahut easy hai ye kar do, wo nahi kiya, kar kya rahe hain ye log, etc. Lekin ye sab aise hi nahi ho jaata.

doubling ho ya electrification sabhi ki speed five six years mein almost double ho gayee hai, paisa utna hi hai, lekin kuchh log negativity faila rahe hai ye nahi kiya to aisaa to waisa. Are bhai itne paise me saare kaam kaise manage karna hai WO hi jaante hai. So logon ko patience rakhna chahiye. Sab achchha ho raha hai, new connectivities, faster doubling, important new connecting lines, better stations and facilities, new powerful engines, good LHB Coaches, Unpolluting elocos replacing noise and air polluting diesel locos. Indian railways is progressing faster than India. Sab kuchh ek hi din me nahi milta yaar. Jarurat hai thorra patience rakho aur govt ke work ko appreciate karo. Railways ke un imaandaar workers, contractors, engineers, labours, DRMs, GMs aur neta jinhone bhi hame kuchh naya aur achha dene ke liye mehnat kiya, unka samast railfans ki taraf se shukriya. Ye Jo gauchhari se bihpur doubling inspection ki baat likhi hai, double track three years se bana tha, magar track bich bich mein dhans raha tha islie nahi start kar rahe the. How it was reinforced. With gitti, with cement, with sand only or any other method, any knowledge? Anyone?

On 19 Nov 2014, I took train Avadh Assam exp from Old Delhi to New Jalpaiguri via Bareilly, Lucknow, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Mujaffarpur, Barauni, Mansi, Katihar. The same train I had boarded 05 years back for official visit to New Jalpaiguri. That time the entire track from barabanki to Katihar was 100% single and 100% unelectrified. I was very glad to see this time that the stretch from Barabanki to Hajipur including Sonpur - Hajipur Gandak bridge was 100% doubled and 95% electrified and till today, I hope that the rest 5% electrification work would have also completed. The stretch between Hajipur to Muzaffarpur was single for 45 Kms but 100% electrified too. The stretch from Muzaffarpur to Mansi was again 100% doubled and 100% electrified. My train was only 45 minutes late till Mansi. The winter season had just approached and as my seat was side lower...

in right side of my S7 Coach and diwali and chat puja had passed on 23 and 29 Oct. So there was no rush in my compartment, I was alone sitting or lying at my berth. As usual, I had Several maps of my journey route which I make before proceeding on my journey. The map contained all halts, small, medium and big stations name with Km distance between them. I didn't sleep for the entire distance between Lucknow to Katihar and just amazingly marking in my map the huge progress of Indian railways in 100% doubling and electrifying such a huge distance of more than 800 Kms in 04 years. I was thinking now the lifeline of the nation is finally changing its reputation. The train having only 45 minutes late after 20 hours of journey in UP and Bihar was making me feel awesome. But my feeling was shattered when the train left Mansi, a large no. of local passengers without or general class ticket boarded and sat forcefully on our seats. The Chain pulling was done 02 to 03 places. In spite of this I was concentrated on my work of marking on my map about the progress. Surprising I found , the stretch from Maheshkhunt to Thanabihpur was only 20% doubled as when I was watching through my window in right side, there was no other line there. The train was halted for 20 minutes at a Gauchhari small station for crossing another train from opp direction. Also the progress of electrification work was only 50% between Mansi and Thana bihpur. After Thana bihpur to Katihar again the tracks were 100% doubled except 01 km stretch on river kosi between katrea and kursela and 100% electrified too. But my happy journey had not remained happy as my train had delayed by 03 hours upto Katihar. My name is again being forwarded for recruiting youths at New Jalpaiguri in November this year. As Preferred route reservation to New Jalpaiguri is given by our office via this train only, but I prefer Brahmaputra Mail via Bhagalpur as my mama resides there, can anybody tell me whether situation has changed with any progress in the Mansi Katihar route.

I think everyone browsing this site also has access to Google Maps.A kind request to all of them.Please go through GMap & glide through the stretch b/w Thanabihpur & Pasraha in East Central Rly.(Type Thanabihpur in GMap,follow the Rail Track & go towards west).You can notice at least in 4 places,that some spills of water/oil has come out of the ground & destroyed the old Rail Track,so a new track has to be made just curving out of the original.Isnt it interesting?I mean I've never seen this type of track alignment anywhere else in the country. Some members may emphasize more on what may have happened that caused the Rail Track to be shifted.All are requested to go through please.One clue that hints through my mind is the region falls under Kosi Flood Zone in Bihar,but the way the Old Tracks are damaged doesnt look like the aftershock of floods.
