Now IR should upgrade this train with E-loco between Haridwar-Katra section. Just because of small diesel section (Haridwar-Rishikesh) this train is running with deisel loco end to end.. which is complete waste of fuel :-( I think Northern Railway should now allocate WAP-7 series of locomotives to Ludhiana Shed. Most of the routes near Ludhiana are electrified and some of the remaining routes will be electrified soon.. So it would be a better idea to focus towards E-loco allotments for LDH shed. As now LDH shed holds WAG 9 series locomotives so WAP 7 holdings will help a lot in future.
