A daily SF must be started btw Vasco and Mumbai CST via KR. Currently all the 3 trains start from Madgaon plus many south bound trains pass Madgaon. Its really inconvinient for Vasco passangers to board trains at Madgaon with heavy luggage. What are your views guys.

One SF needs to be given to Vasco with maintainance under SWR Madgaon already has a plenty of trains to Mumbai if a train is introduced btw Vasco and Mumbai it will also pass through Madgaon.

Ok train should run upto vasco....but if this train originating at BCT or bandra terminus then it will be usefull for western suberban pasgr. from last 10 years western suberbn pasgr has demanding train to konkan from bct or bandra.......

Agreed with few minor changes....
1. Goa Rajdhani urgently required but via RN - PNVL --- KYN ---- BSL --- BPL.

2. Bypass line between KRMI n VSG is also required.

3. KR should take up the survey project for Panaji Terminus... From Pernem, this rail line can bifurcate and run parallel to NH4 to connect Panaji. It should however terminate just after Mandovi river bridge and not enter Panaji City to retain its glory. Few trains like Goa Rajdhani, JanShatabdi and few more trains can terminate here...

One more biggest advantage of running trains to Goa is.....it's considered a "Holiday Home" for young and the old,for couples or for guys who are on their own,for families or for friends and since i came to know from the guys in here that A.C trains is where the gravy(money) comes from....Railways can maximize the revenues by having more 1A and 2As and people would be willing to spend those extra few bucks to enjoy their vacations.

Yes... its d need of d hour.... our RM is interested in introducing more trains to his hometown rather than providing Revenue generating connectors.... all the buses charge around 1500 Rs daily between mumbai n goa n still run full....

Like they did in Road ways there needs to be initiative and plan for improving the infrastruture of railways.
Fule cess can be made for railways like 1 rupee for Rs 100 and utilize the funds for railways infrastruture improvement without prejudice. Thanks.

The buses travelling between Mumbai Madgaon charges 1500 Rs Daily and in vacation time the cost is more+The NH17 that is Mumbai Goa Highway passes through dangerous ghats, small bridges, etc. Indeed there should be trains announced between Mumbai Madgaon/Karwar for passangers can travel safely in less cost.

I know this suggestion will draw some flak,but why not extend the AK Rajdhani to VSG/MAO with extra augmented coaches,while at the same time preserving a quota for the BOMBAY region.Anyway,people seem displeased with this train lately.

I think the newly announced Madgaon Mangalore Intercity should have been introduced as Vasco Mangalore as it would have connected directly also Panjim the capital of Goa is closer to Vasco.

A small Wish for KR
A New line between Vasco and Ratnagiri as landslide occure on main line trains can be diverted via this line but all stops should be there on this line from Karmali To Nivsar and will join the main line between Nivsar and Ratnagiri + can divert some trains through this route to remove traffic

in fact if you search for chains from mas to mao, madgaon instead of vasco, you will find so many good options. So I would suggest searching for mas to mao in iri which is here /search/35/0/511
