Although it is individual's choice to choose which ever metro station he/she wants to, as difference of 1km doesn't make much of an impact.
How to reach nizamuddin cheaply from gurgaon. My train is at 6:30 in morning. Don't want to take cab. They ask around rs1000
Reaching NZM at 0600hr is very very difficult if you are coming from Gurgaon.
I would suggest you either book a Ola/Meru Cab....Or else reach NZM by previous night itself.
If you're taking a train from NZM towards Mathura/Agra and you have got a window seat towards the left, DO NOT attempt to take your hand out at least for the first 5-10 kms. The poles and over-bridge supports are placed dangerously close right after NZM. The clearance between the coach and those poles is negligible. Also applies to RFs trying to doorplate on the left hand side. Beware.
If possible try to post d pic of same.... :-)
Thats a highly risky affair, sticking out and taking a pic defeats the whole purpose of writing this tip. I'm afraid I can't do it.
This very evening I was on board 64082 at the door towards the left (safely in). A drunk man pleaded others standing at the door to let him sit there. Avoiding a nuisance, they let him. He started doing all crazy acts of sticking himself out right after NZM even against warnings from all of us to stay in. I was standing right there when the
FOR NZM Railway Station,BEST way to deboard at JLN STADIUM Metro Station and walk around 130m take any of these DTC BUS NO.- 19,166,794A ,970B from JLN STADIUM Bus Stop. This is best and cheaper way.I hope it's help commuter and can save money as auto richsaws men demand high amount for such low distance.. Thanks
please also add bus no 181/181A
For Dayal Singh College Bus Stop for this bus, we have to cross road and it does not stop at JLN STADIUM Bus stop. So,I think it not better option.
Passengers come to Delhi mainly for Tours,AIIMS,meetings and with in few weeks the counseling of prestigious DELHI UNIVERSITY starts where many students from all corners of India come to seek admission. So here I mention few " Direct" BUS and METRO details so that they can be helpful for them.

from NZM too ANVT - 469,473,473A,534,534A,543A(best),542(very rare),OMS(-) . will take lesser time than metro
Yes it might be true.I'll travel in the buses you mentioned and I will check if they take less time compared to what I mentioned above. If I find that they take less time and if I find that the bus timings and availabllity of seats convenient, I'll update my post.

This the the approximate fare chart depicting demands of Auto-wallas for a minimum-distance ride at the Sarai Kaale Khan exit.
So the obvious tip is, the further you move towards the main ring-road, the better your deal gets. Go ahead, bargain like no one's watching! :D
Sorry for the nerdy style of the tip. :P
LOL :D :D :D
extremely useful tip :P
If you wish to take Yellow line metro from NZM station, then best is jor bagh metro station. Auto would take nearly 60-80 Rs.
For Violet line, Jangpura or Lajpat nagar, both are nearly same distance from NZM. If some how your takes a unscheduled halt at Okhla, then alight here. The okhla metro station on violet line is very near to railway station.
one can also take a dtc bus outside the station
When someone is new to delhi, then coping up with bus routes, bus stops and bus numbers is very difficult.
