Sri Kalahasti is one important pilgrimage destination, which attracts people from all over the country.
SriKalaHasti name comes from the story of three important devotees to the God here (Shiva in the form of Vayu Linga and is called as SriKalahatiswara Swamy). Sri Means a Spider, Kala means a Snake, Hasti Means an Elephant. You can read about the story on google on how these three worshipped Shiva here.
