No Paid parking facility from SR, but one private service is provided which is expensive. In Nights, the path is dark with strayed dogs. Better park the vehicles in front of the Rly Stn with some extra locks. But Parking at our own risk.

Mini buses to & from Velayuthampalayam are there for every train expect late nights. try to leave the station quicker, take left & walk for 5 mins & then take right, further walk a minute or so, u can find green coloured mini buses to Velayuthampalayam via TNPL. From Velayuthampalayam, you have frequent buses for Karur, Paramathy Velur, Pallapatti, Aravakurichi, Noyyal, Kodumudi, Erode, Namakkal, Salem & even to Chennai, Palani etc.

The second platform is very much needed at pugalur, already a platform is there in the damaged condition, it should be rebuild or extended to hold the passenger train. the railway spending the money to extend the flatform which is unneeded for murthipalayam (MPLM) station.
