Train Blog<--- expand blog --->Does this train passes through Chennai Egmore?If I'm right,why this train does not stop there? @first blogger: It does not go via Egmore, it goes via Kanchipuram. The schedule of this train is simply ridiculous! It leaves Renigunta at 10 am, goes to Tirupati, reverses and RETURNS BACK TO Renigunta, REVERSES ONCE AGAIN and then proceeds to Arakkonam. I wonder what opinions the passengers travelling from before Renigunta to points beyond Renigunta have because this entire detour means that the train enters Renigunta at 958 am and leaves Renigunta towards Nagercoil only at 1245! A whopping nearly 3 hours. Uttam I have two questions : (a) I have booked two III AC tickets from Chennai to Mumbai by 2164. I booked them in the first week of Oct 09 and the journey is in end of Nov. My reservation is RAC - 5 and RAC-6 in III AC. Despite lapse of 20 days, the wait list has remained at RAC-5 and RAC-6. I am told that the chances of getting RAC confirmed is poor. Is is so? Should I cancel this reservation (b) What are the pantry facilities (food facilities) available in train No. 6351 Nagercoil express from Mumbai to Trichy? We are 12 people (veg) travelling. Will we get food in the TRAIN or should we make alt. arrangement ? Thanks Reg. the slow movement of RAC,please read rail news in this site dated 20th. Oct. about the special drive being conducted by SRlys.Last para reads: Regular preventive checks are conducted on trains and in PRS locations to avoid malpractices. From April 2009 to August 2009 there were 16,539 Checks has been conducted and 754 Touts has been apprehended. Also 8660 number of transferred tickets has been detected. Dear Blogger RAC(Reservation Against Cancellation) preference is given to get confirmed to rac than wait list. In RAC you will be alloted a berth, which you have to share with one co passenger. You can say RAC means half confirmed status. Dont know anything about the food quality in particular train, wait for any other blogger who will provide you the desired information when it will reach to gulbarga This train is good but it stops more time at tirupati. And the pantry should be south food. Thank you this train is very good especially passengers travelling to tirunelveli side and i would like to request u to provide one more train in this route this is good train from Mumbai to Kanyakumari but one bad thing is that only 15 seats is available from Pune.
