the train (2876) starts from New Delhi -if you are talking abt the incoming train (2875-Puri-ndls) as per this website at this time, its late by 3.30hrs. Pl chk with 139 abt arrival time. it may extend further. purshottam exp is late by 14 hrs. more eastern sectors trains are late. Since the track were blown up between Gaya and Tatanagar most of the trains passing thru gaya are late. even rajdhanis are late by 5+ hrs. pl chek this website, 139 for confirmation of arrival time.

As mentioned elsewhere, due to fog and winter conditions, all trains are delayed, and often even the online status is erroneous. For this train, the online status indicates that it is currently 12 hr. delayed. The frst blogger is probably referring to 2875 -Puri -ndls and not 2876 (ndls-puri) - his question - what is the time expected to reach ND? probably refers to 2875 only - hence the clarifications and advice to him to chek with 139 for correcto timings. thanks

Mr Ketan, due to heavy fog this trains departure was postponed by 12 hours. pl do not comment if you do not have an idea. nowadays due to fog, all trains are late in northern sector.
While commenting pl check up on that days position and then write. thanks.

yeah, i seldom travels by train. i missed my flight on the day

all over india there is the common number of 139.

I have also travelled by this train. Invariably the train goes off time between these two places due to crossing etc. Once I had an interesting experience of no checking of ticket whatsoever till aftr Kanpur. I boarded at Puri. Dont know if its regular feature or one off incident. When i commented about it to the TTE, he just laughed. Another reason for this late arrivals it gets stuck in traffic jam between Kanpur-Delhi. We allowed passing of 4 Rajdhani trains all the while waiting in a small station. The train was late by 4 hours.

When ever TTE's have to make money, they will check.
I have travelled many times in this train btn Delhi and Kanpur. During festival like Dashahara, durga pooja, holi etc, there will be ticket checking. During off season, it wont.
