It halts for 30 mns at Allahabad not 40 mns: a: 02.20/0250 going via Varanasi, leaving M, Tue and Fridays. The corresponding 2304 going via Patna direct thru Mughalsarai halts only for 5 mns.. Must be crew change for 2382, although that seems long, perhaps because it is beyond midnight, and going via Grand Chord line. Good wishes.

while going to varanasi electric engine is detached and diesel engine is attached because allahabad-varanasi-mughalsarai is not electrifed section thats why 30 minute stopage is given for allahabad

@first blogger: the distance of 2382 is frm mgs to asansol is much less as compared to 2304 which travel via patna covering extra distance...........so 2382 has to stop uselessly to follow same timing asansol onwards

whether the train stops 4 2mins/10 mins..every train is FORCIBLY made 2 halt alllhabad 4 more than 2 hours...i've personally witnessed this..this is the only reason y train cming 4m allhabad/UP gets late....speciall 1s cming via alllhabad-jabalpur route..and most specifically THE SUPERFASTS 1

Ya diesel loco is attached at allahabad and electric loco is again attached at mughalsarai. But it stops at ald for 40 min, just double than that at mgs where stoppage is only 20 min
