Even though the train arrives well in time for travel to Domestic Airport, due to fog in Delhi (even now at this time), it is possible for late arrival.
The approx distance from DLI to Domestic Airport is 20 kms. You can take a pre-paid taxi or auto (pl wear jackets and mufler to keep off the ice cold winds) from Delhi Railway Station.
If your train is late by more than an hour, forget going to the Airport since check in time is also 1 hour - you have to be in airport by 6am.
The following info may be known/may not be known to you - Different brands of Airlines have different departure terminals (like Terminal 1A (Air India, Kingfisher etc) Pl chk departure terminal before leaving your house so that the taxi fellow can be told to go the correct terminal. have a nice trip and pray for a less fog day
There is one advantage of fog. Air departures are always postponed/delayed. you may check with airlines for the delay.

if the train schedule is not affected by fog, you have plenty of time to reach ig airport.
