Train Blog<--- expand blog --->I have booked my ticket from AWb to CSTM. Caoch is D-7 & seat no. is 35. How This seat is a windoe seat, bcoz on the ticket it is shown as window but if you count as per 12 seats in each compartment, then this is middle seat. please help whether it is a window seat or not? Goto any nearby PRS with original ID proof + printout of your ticket and written application to Chief Reservation Supervisor to change the boarding point. Now issue remains only to change the boarding point. Even if the ticket is WL from Pune, I get confirmed ticket from Ghorpuri, but Pune as boarding station. This proves that the quota used is that of ticket starting station, not boarding station. . This is how it happens in Mumbai-PRS trains. However this is not the logic in other PRS trains. @anon: Jan 13 (10:10PM) I guess the Shirdi passenger should have tried booking ticket from Manmad, boarding Nasik Road. I am sure he would have got confirmed, I have observed this on many trains of CR. e.g. Lonavala to Bangalore, boarding Pune Ghorpuri to Nagpur etc, boarding Pune @MST IndianRailways*: Jan 14 (07:12AM) I guess central railways allows change of boarding point at the time of booking and the quota allotted is of booking station not the boarding station. @anon: Jan 13 (10:10PM) Sir You are talking about only 1039 Maharastra Exp and on the behalf of only this train you made calculation that seat will be alloted from originating station quota not from boarding station quota is not correct for all the trains. Your logic is correct for this train but this logic will not be applied to Tapovan Exp 7618. As per you It happens with Mumbai PRS is correct but I want to modify it. Its not Mumbai PRS, Its western central railway which allows to change the passenger boarding point, because these days Indian Railway has given authority to decide whether to let change the boarding point while booking or not. In case of 1039 Maharashtra Exp the PNR no will start from 8 Am I Right Sir? But In case of 7618 Tapovan Exp the PNR no will start from 1(the starting blogger also gave his pnr no when I asked) I am saying this because of my experience, because If you try to change the boarding point in PNR starting from 1 we will get status according to the boarding point. Actually I am studying on boarding change rules for different zones & how this unique PNR no is generated by Indian Railways. For further information you can refer to my earlier blog post no 12521 hope this clears all your doubts @ MST IndianRailways Sir in this case I am 101% sure that you will get ticket according to the boarding point status if you try to change the boarding point during booking. The two cases suggested by you must be having PNR starting from 8, thats why the boarding change is possible. Further discussion is welcome on the topic. Regards :) This train should be extended to Ballarshah(Near Chandrapur) this will help to get more traffic for this train as there is no train to Mumbai for people of chandrapur ballarshah yeotmal adilabad kinwat bhokar this will help the people of this cities to reach pune by train. And also this train should be runned tri weekly in one direction and same in the reverse direction. malay Dear Mr.Railway minister I would like to bring to your notice that I had booked four seats on tapovan express dated 16-05-2009 in the II chair car from nasik to dadar my ticket pnr no.is 1341438819 I would like you to tell that at nasik first of all the train arrived 50 mins late it was announced that it is late by 20-25 mins late.. n e ways after that it was very difficult to even enter in this train b'coz even the general class passengers block the way and sit in reserved compartment.. when i complained this to the ticket checker he said nothing can be done even he said that it is our fault that v have booked the seats on this train he came nd checked our tickets and the other people those were from general class even their tickets were not checked.....I think it is better to travel by buses than to travel by this train....you r requested to take some necessary action to solve the pathatic condition of this train I would never again prefer to travel by this train in future... the officers must look at this incident and should to do jstice, else one day this will result in a big issue... wrost train of all. unless you left with no other train then only you should catch it. reservation bogie is like the genral compartment and people are also very rude it came at 9.56pm at dadar station. This train always comes late to nasik by 30 min. People who have to catch 2163 are put in to untold difficulty. Today it is late by 50 min.. Then imagine how to catch 2163 to chennai ? | 18 halts between Huzur Sahib Nanded and Mumbai CSTMake sure to visit the official site and double-check the timetable.
