Ashish (e-Mail: ashishk1124@rediffmail.com) @first blogger: this train is already on the run जबसे इस ट्रेन का टाइम टेबल बदला है तबसे यह तीन से चार घंटे लेट चलने लगी है . रेलवे अधिकारीयों ने इस ट्रेन की वलुए देग्रदे कर दी है . धन्य है इंडियन रेलवे एक अच्छी भली ओं टाइम चलने वाली ट्रेन का बेडा गर्क करने के लिए . पहले यह ट्रेन देहरादून से सुबह १० बजे चलती थी और दुसरे दिन दोपहर को हावडा ३ बजे पहुचती थी . औसतन सही समय चलती थी. thank for degrading this train which was always running on an average right time. but after rescheduling its time table from nov. 2009 train has lost its punctuality . Who updates this arrival departure history in this site. This train used to depart at 10:25 am from DDN .... before 1st Nov. 2009. After 1st Nov the departure from DDN is changed to 22:25. Is the person who puts in the information or the system total nuts ?? I mean before 1st Nov the departure from DDN was never 22:25 while it is given here that it departed from DDN at right time 22:25 which was not the case. Still, what is the tentative first date of journey of this train. The first date of journey is only known to the railway board. If the moderator can throw some light. However there are many issues which need to be resolved before starting a train, so keep patience. in due course the date of forst run will appear in the press. When is the new train from Howrah to Haridwar starting its journey. As per the newtime table the train is going to run on days 2328 Upasana is not running, only difference is 2370 will be from Haridwar, not from DEhradun. The date of run will be notified by Railways in due time, just keep an eye on the papers. Still, what is the tentative first date of journey of this train. Yes! it can be cancelled tatkal tickets can be cancelled as per the following rules A flat refund of 25% of total fare charged on the ticket, excluding tatkal charge is granted on cancellation of tatkal ticket, which is presented for cancellation upto 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train. However, full refund of fare and tatkal charges will be granted on the tickets booked under Tatkal scheme in the following circumstances :- If the train is delayed by more than 3 hours at the journey originating point of the passenger & not the boarding point if the passenger's journey originating point and boarding point are different. If the train is to run on a diverted route and passenger is not willing to travel. If the train is to run on diverted route and boarding station or the destination or both the stations are not on the diverted route. In case of non attachment of coach in which Tatkal accommodation has been earmarked and the passenger has not been provided accommodation in the same class. If the party has been accommodated in lower class and does not want to travel. [bbasu]please let me know how many 2AC coaches are available in DehraDun Howrah Upsana Express. one coach Sir, please bataye ki upasana kab se daily hogi There is a new Super Fast train announced from Howrah to Haridwar in Railway Budget 2009. This is a train to be running on 5 days a week. In all probability this would be running on the same timings as Upasana Exp but only till Haridwar. May be some patience and you will then have 7 days service but till Haridwar. This is a very good train. But why does this stops at so many places in Bihar and Jharkhand combined. It travels a distance of approx. 368 km [from Buxar to Madhupur, yes there is some more distance on both sides] in both these states and stops at 7 places. While in a total distance of 844 km. in U.P. and Uttarakhand it stops at only 7 places. The average distance between two stoppages is quite high in U.P. Then, it invariably crawls in places like Shahajahanpur and literally stops everytime at Roja Jn. Why doesn't IR makes a stoppage there albeit of 2 mins so that there could be some money leveraged from these places. May be they could choose between Roja and Shahajahanpur as these two stations are just 8 km apart. Why does it not have a stoppage at Najibabad Jn which is 65 km from Haridwar and 97 km from Moradabad? Passengers from Pauri Garhwal region have NBD as their nearest station. Sir, let me know how many 3tier AC coach in this train 2328 upasana express only one AC 3 TIER coach plying between dehradoon to howrah nice train , generally on time can i change my boarding point of already booked tatkal ticket? if your actual boarding point is BEFORE that on the ticket, you have to buy a separate regular journey ticket (if day journey) for the extra distance. You can then take your reserved seat when you reach your regular boarding point. if your actual boarding point is AFTER that on the ticket, then you can approach the supervisor on the computerized reservation office, and request him to "officially" change the boarding station. OR request in writing to the stationmaster at the boarding station. In either case you need to do the above at least 1 to 2 days in advance. Otherwise, your vacant seat might be allotted to RAC/Waitlist.
