Its obvious that a couple of ppl from Osmanabad/Latur are posting multiple messages on extension of trains, diversion of Solapur trains via Latur, increase in frequency, increase in coaches, request for stops. Just wanted to know that all that are writing is complete waste, since no railway officials are reading these suggestions. This site is only for information exchange, not for making any requests to IR officials. So kind request to ppl putting multiple blogs under CSTM-LUR exp and Pune-HYB exp is do not spend energy here, and do not unnecessarily increase the number of blogs and postings. @MST IndianRailways: Mar 03 (11:33PM) Just to add more to what MST Indianrailways has said.. If you want to really see some change in the services in your region kindly try the following 1: Try submit a memorandum to the station master at your local station, indicating support from the masses for the servies you want railways to provide you. 2: Similarly submit a memorandum to the divisional general manager of your railway division. 3: submit a similar letter of support to the the railway headquarters. (not sure if you are under Central or South Central... 4. Submit letter of support to railway ministry 5. Approach your local MP's MLA's with your demands and ask them to pursue 6. See if you can gather support for your demands from adjoining districts. 7. Also write to other travel organizations of different cities for eg: hyb, pune, mumbai and see what people out there are wanting as far as connection with latur area goes and include those points in your letters. Once you do that they might also support your cause. 8:Form a travel organization for your city/ district and try to approach Railways as an organization rather than an indivisual. 9: please do not make any claims that the time WILL reduce or distance WILL reduce. WILL if replace dby COULD will make the case more effective as you would be expressing potential as against a claim. 10. Get publicity for this work trough local newspapers 11. Please do not hold dharnas in front of other trains and inconvinience other fellow indians just cause you are not getting the train services you desire. There are more ways of getting the job done but atleast these 11 might help u in some wway and you can come up with more brilliant ideas There was a guy who talked about doing some "Sangharsh" for better rail services for Latur / UMD. I have seen this train and it has only 3 Sleeper coaches and 2 AC coaches. If there are more number of passengers from Parbhani and Nanded, then they can add more coaches. PVR-MRJ GC should have been on priority for cement traffic (which is also mentioned as audit Objection in CAG) due to which CR lost lot of revenue. all this happened due to political pressure PVR-KWV GC completed before LUR-KWV still PVR-CSTM FP runs thrice a week. There will not be clearance of path between Kurduwadi-PUNE to this trai, due to which it will become slower(which was happened during its Special run). I am a regulaer travler in Latur express and facing the same problem in my travling is CST to Kalyan and Kalyan to CST unauthorized local pepole are coming in train and making the nusiance and trouble to Latur express travler. The rail authority have to take some appropreate action to stop this problem, but due to the curropted authority they dont. The illegal local people seat in the reservetation compartment and said they are the staff of railway department but it dosent mean to give the trouble to travler. My question is why these pepole sufferd. Therefore the authority have to take strict action agaist these pepole who are travling in reserveation compartment. I hope after reading my request these authority will do the same which we are required form them. The distance from Mumbai CST to Latur will now reduce from 744 kms to 529 kms, saving travelling time by about 5 hours — from 15 hours to 10 hours. The distance from CST to Osmanabad will reduce from 825 kms to 449 kms, almost by half, and the journey will take 7 hours less. Consequently, fares will be cut too. Good News!! the latur-mumbai train will start via kurduwadi from 19th october. Hey, the new route via kurduwadi is justified because it takes only 9-10hrs for latur-mumbai journey. The same journey via parbhani would take 14-15hrs which is cumbersome. During journey via parbhani route the engine changes 3 times. Morever the train was inconvenient for latur passengers due to long journey hrs. The train benefitted mostly the passengers from parbhani, jalna, aurangabad, which was clear from the reservation charts as most of the reservation were from parbhani, jalna and aurangabad. Train remained vacant from latur to parbhani. There is no point in opposing this new route, as commuters from parbhani, jalna and aurangabad have many trains for mumbai from nanded, whereas commuters from latur have only one train to mumbai from latur. If you cancel this train on Manmad-Parbhani route, you are putting lots of commuters to inconvenience who are going to Parbhani, Parli etc. There is sufficient occupancy and justifies the train on current route.
