Train Blog<--- expand blog --->guys please confirm about this train when it is expected to start. i wish there could be a Garib Rath from CSTM to HYB instaed of Shatabdi. @first blogger: This train will start running from 1 Apr.Booking were to start on 13th Mar as per newspaper ad, but does not seem to be available online. You can check with any reservation counter if bookings have started for this train. @first blogger: pune has more hyderabad population...tats y shatbdi was started realising the standard of people travelling in it This train would really help to those are frequent travellers from Pune to hyderabad. Now private travellers will face a big problem this summer. KESINENI Hi, I went to book tickets for train # 0163 nd 0164 at the counter nd they said this train # is not valid nd this train doesnt run..... i have als spoken with the station supervisior regarding this he said it not necessary tht what u see in paper has to be in reality.... nd this was at Lingampalli Station(HYD) I am unable to access the train in IRCTC. @first blogger: Some of the special trains announced recently are not available yet on IRCTC for booking, it will take some time to update on the system, so it is advised to you that check for bookings at the PRS, because these summer special may get full as soon as the booking starts. want to go from pune to hyd....is this train still available???at the top its says limited run in april...but doesnt mention which year. @first blogger: This is a summer special train and will start running from 1st April on every Sun, Tue, Thur and Sat. @Manish: Mar 12 (09:40AM) wow....if this train really starts it will be good. though i doubt whether it will run on time. many sections is single line and super saturated @anon: Mar 12 (03:07PM) The railways have to run this train on time as the same train has to return to Pune in the afternoon. @Manish: Mar 12 (03:41PM) Railways dont want to run any train late. It just happens that train gets late due to various technical/operational reasons. @ Moderator : The return train 0164 (Hyderabad - Pune) has been tried out for adding but the message stated .... But the train reaches back to Pune at almost midnight. And for all practical purposes, considering 40-60 min delay considering the single line congestion and train's spl tag, it wil reach back Pune around 1.00 a.m. and hence will pose inconvenience to passengers. @ Manish : By the way, is this going to be the longest (travel time wise - both to&fro) Shatabdi Train !!! For this train add AC Chair car, for 3.5 hr Pune Solapur travel sleeper class is not feasible @first blogger: The website details seem to be not updated. There will only be Chair Car and AC first class like other Shatabdis. Shatabdis are day trains and no question of sleeper class. @ Moderator : Plz look into Fares & Seats website page for this train and request to do the needful. @Kapadia : Mar 12 (11:14AM) This same train number used to earlier run as some other special train. The first time it was late by 4 hours because of the EMU accident in Chennai. Info: This special has ACD (anti-collision device) fitted orange ERS WDM2B (Locomotive)! Garib Rath is a good option. Central Railway might consider if there's enough patronage. On 13th may i took this train from chennai to pune... It reached 3.5 hours late :( available daily This train can also run as Dadar Chennai AC Express This train needs to be converted as Garib Rath with schedule time to depart from Dadar Rly Stn. either on Friday or Saturday and from Chennai Saturday or Sunday. This is an excellent train. I hope railways can regularize it. GR is also a good option. The schedule is good too. Mumbai, pune ,solapur, renigunta and chennai see the train at good hours. Well only guntakal and wadi residents will have to board unfortunately at unearthly hrs. GR with 3A and CC coaches. Please note that in the first 2 runs of this train it has been delayed beyond limits...On 29th April the train did not make it to chennai on 06th May the train reached chennai 05hrs 40 minutes behind schedule... All special trains operated by SCR,WR,SWR,SER and SR are delayed by more than 2 to 5 hrs because formation of rakes and placing them on platform from coaching complex is a big hindarance since regular trains are being given preference over special trains.All metro stations like Chennai,Hyderabad,Howrah,Bangalore,Delhi and Mumbai are over crowded and finding it difficult to operate existing trains as more trains are introduced they need to develop satellite stations away from them to avoid inconveniece to commuters. This train should replace 2163/2164. why this train cannot run on Friday,Saturday for two days weekly so that it can reach chennai and back on Saturday and Sunday from Chennai to Dadar at the same timing, when you are started fully A/C trains for Gorakpur why can't you run the same A/C trains for Chennai purpose and 15-20 yrs back the A/C train was running in this route i.e from Dadar Central To Chennai, if you start this train it will be helpful to everybody, i hope my suggestion may be helpful. | 4 halts between Pune Junction and Hyderabad Deccan NampallyMake sure to visit the official site and double-check the timetable.
